Thomas YATES to William RAGSDALE
         pg 116. This indenture made this 20th day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & two between Thomas YATES of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the one part and William RAGSDALE of the County & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Thomas YATES for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars in hand paid have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell and convey unto William RAGSDALE his heirs and assigns one hundred acres of land, more or less, lying and being in the County of Robertson on Red River.
         Beginning at a black oak on the bank of the river, runs with a line made by said YATES & RAGSDALE to a spanish oak, thence North the whole length of YATES survey to a stake on the North side of the river, thence East and South meanderings the river to the beginning so as to include all said YATES survey lying on the North side of Red River to have and to hold to the said William RAGSDALE his heirs and assigns forever, and the said YATES doth for himself his heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid land and premises against himself his heirs or any person claiming under them his heirs and all persons whatsoever unto the said William RAGSDALE, his heirs.
