         Know all men my these presents that I Richard Woodward of Robertson County and State of Tennessee for the Valuable Consideration of four hundred and fifty Dollars, to me in hand paid by Samuel McMurry the receipt and payment whereof is hereby Acknowledged, hath this Day and Date Sold and Delivered to Samuel McMurry one negro Man Named Jupitor (Slave) about twenty five or Six years old which said Negro I will Warrant and for ever Defend to the said Samuel McMurry his heirs or Assigns against the Just Claim or Claims of all person or persons lawfull claiming the foresaid Negro (Slave) in witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Ninth Day of September one thousand eight hundred and eight and in the thirty third year of our Independence.
