         I Isham Tredaway of County of Robertson and State of Tennessee have this day bargained and sold and do hereby convey to Samuel Gilbert and his heirs and assigns forever for the consideration of Three hundred dollars to me paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, a certain tract or parcel of land lying in said County & State and in District Number 11, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a planted rock running thence North 70 West thirty poles to a horse barn, thence South 20 1/3 W six and a four twelth poles to a black walnut, thence South 38 E fifty five poles to a rock, thence North 38 ½ East thirty four poles crossing the branch at twenty five poles to an oak, thence North 43 ½ West thirty poles to the Beginning, Containing by estimation ten acres more or less. To have and to hold the same to the said Samuel Gilbert and his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said Samuel Gilbert that I am lawful seized of said land, have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered & I do further bind myself my heirs and legal representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to said land and every part thereof to the said Samuel Gilbert his heirs and assigns forever. Given under my hand and seal this the 21s day of September 1867.

         Personally appeared before me R. H. Murphey clerk of the County Court of said County J.Y. Hutchinson and Milton Pitt subscribing witnessses to the attached and who being first duly sworn depose and say that they are personally acquainted with the within named Isham Tredaway the bargainer and that he acknowledged the same in their presence to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at office this 2 day of October 1867.
