         I James M. Pierson of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee have this day bargained sold transferred & conveyed and confirmed to Robert McMurry of the County and State aforesaid for the consideration of the sum of three hundred and sixty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Robert McMurry, a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County and State aforesaid on the waters of the Sulpher Fork of Red River and in District No. 10, butted and bounded as follows To Wit, Beginning at a rock the North West corner of Susana Pierson’s dower of the real estate of Drewery Pierson Dec’d, running thence South with the line of said dower sixty poles to a rock, thence West forty two poles to a rock, thence South thirty two poles to a stake and pointer, thence West one hundred and sixty poles to a spannish oak and dogwood, thence North seventy two poles to a stake and pointers Samuel Stark corner, thence West two hundred and two poles to the Beginning with said line containing by estimation one hundred and seven acres, to the same more or less, to have and to hold the above mentioned tract or parcel of land with and singular the improvements and waters and every thing belonging to the same to the only use and benefit of the said Robert McMurry his heirs and assingees forever, and the said James M. Pierson do hereby bind myself and assigned to forever covenant and defend the title of said land and premises to the said Robt McMurry and his heirs and assigns forever claiming the same either in law or equity.

Pierson the within named bargainor with whom I and personally acquainted and who aknowledged that he executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained.
