Robertson County Court Jan’y 10, 1867.
         Be it remembered that at a County ___ began and held in the County of Robertson, State of Tenn, at the Court House in Springfield on the 1st Monday in June, it being the 7th day of said month in the year 1867, present and presiding Worshipful Geo. H. Walker Chairman, G.F. Mason & G.A. E___, Esqr Justices &c and among the things heard and ___ of ___ at said Court was the following, to Wit,

         Be it remembered, That on this day this cause came on to be heard and was heard before the Worshipful Quarter Court of Robertson County, upon the report of to Special Causes, on the Sale of the remainder of the land belonging to the estate of Thos. J. Payne, dec’d, after the allotment of dower to the widow Mrs. Elizabeth Payne, which report is in the following words and figures, to Wit,
Pursuant to an order of the Worshipful Quarter Court of Robertson County, made at its July term 1866, and received and reviewed at the Dec term 1866, describing? we as Special Causes? To sell the remainder of the land belonging to the estate of Thos J. Payne, dec’d after the allotment of dower, publicly to the highest bidder on the premises, on a credit of one and two years with interest from date, containing a lien to ____ the purchase money, to collect cash at the sale to pay the costs of the cause, and atty’s fees, the bidding to open at $5.00 per acre to advertize the sale for 20 days or ___ y printed hand bills and to report the same to the ___ ___ of this court. I did on Friday the 4th day of January 1867 offer said land for sale publicly to the highest bidder on the premise, first having advertised sale for ___ , 20 days by printed hand bills, when Solomon Payne became the purchaser___ at the price of $10.10 per acre
that being the highest and best bid thereon. He paid me cash $100.00 and His two notes, one at one and two years, with interest from date, for $600.15 with Bolivar Payne as his Security. The boundaries of said land has not been finished? to use; it includes that portion of the tract of land conveyed by the Solomon Payne to the said Thos J. Payne, dec’d, except the widow’s dower. The whole tract is said to contain 166 acres, the dower by survey contains 60 acres, this being the part sold to the said Solomon Payne, 101 acres, which at $13.10 per acre comes to the sum of $1323.10 for a ___ particular description of said land reference is here made to the deed from the said Solomon to the said Thos. J. Payne, dec’d, which is on record in the Registers office of Robertson County, Tennessee, and the same adjoins the dower tract of the widow Mrs. Elizabeth Payne, and also adjoining the lands of Solomon Payne, Larkin Payne, William Stringer, and Pleasant Barry, and lies in the first civil district of said County of Robertson, all of which is respectfully ___ to the Worshipful Court. This Janry 5, 1867.

         And which report being ___ted to, is by this Court on all things, confirmed. It is therefore ordered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that the title to the land mentioned and described on said report be divested out of the heirs at by and distributees of Thos J. Payne, dec’d, and vested in the purchaser thereof, Solomon Payne, as ___ in said report his heirs and assigns forever, subject only to a lien to have the unpaid purchase money. That a copy of this decree and report be furnished for Registration if desired.

Murphey, clerk of the County Court of said County, do Certify that the foregoing is a true and perfect transcript of the decree and report in this case of Bolivar Payne, admin & etc Vs Alonzo Payne, & others as the same appears of record in my office. I have under my hand, at office, this 8th day of April 1869.
