Trustees of the Methodist Church from William & David Jernigan
         This Indenture made on the 26th day of February one thousand eight hundred and thirty between David and William Jernigan of one part and Edward Edwards, John Jernigan, Nicholas Covington, Benjamin Jernagen and John McMullon Trustees in trust for the Methodist Episcopal Church of the other part, all of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee. Witnesseth that the said David and William hath this bargained sold and delivered to the said Trustees ____ their ______ ofice a certain lot of ground with all its appurtaining the Sugar ____ excepted for the use of the members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, bounded as follows: Beginning on a white oak on A_____ fork of Red River and running thence North across the river thirty six poles to a spanish oak above the Spring, thence Sou West forty four poles to a sycamore on the Bank of the river, thence East twenty two poles to the Beginning, including three acres and a half, be the same more of less for ten dollars, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and further do warrant and defend the title against all other claims whatever, as witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand and affixed our Seals the day and date above mentioned.

         This Deed of conveyance from David Jernigan and William Jernigan to the Trustees of the Methodist Church was acknowledged in open court by said David & William Jernigan to (be) their act and deed and ordered to be registered.
