         For and in consideration of One thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars ($1750.) One thousand of which is cash paid to me the receipt I acknowledge and for the remainder seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00) a promissory note due July-1st-1906, has been given me bearing even date with this deed I H.G. Gilbert do hereby transfer and convey to W.W. Gilbert his heirs and assigns the right and title to my one half interest in one tract of land lying in the village of Orlinda in the second civil district of Robertson County State of Tennessee, Known and described as follows.
         Beginning at a stone in cross plains and Adairville road and corner to W.E. Wilks lot running N 48-3/4 W seven (7) poles and twelve (12) links to a stone thence S 33 W Twenty two (22) poles and fourteen (14) links to a corner to Cunningham’s lot thence N 41 ½ W fifteen (15) poles and five (5) links to a stone corner to Wm. McNeeley, thence S 3 W forty four (44) poles and twenty three (23) links to a stone said McMurry corner, thence N 85 ½ E forty two (42) poles to corner in said Webbs line, thence N 3 E sixty Eight (68) poles to a T.D. Berry’s corner in J.C. Webb’s line, thence N 85 ½ W fifteen (15) poles and four (4) links to T.D. Berry’s corner stone thence N 3 E twenty eight (28) poles and six (6) links to a stone said Berrys, corner, thence N 41 ½ W nine (9) poles and three (3) links to W.E. Wilks corner, thence N 33 W twenty two (22) poles and twenty (20) links to beginning containing twenty one (21) acres, three (3) rods and thirteen (13) poles more or less.
         To have and to hold to said W.W. Gilbert his heirs and assigns forever. I hereby covenant with said W.W. Gilbert that I am well seized and possessed of the said one half interest in the above described tract of land, and that I have legal right to transfer and convey the same as aforesaid and I bind myself heirs and legal representatives to forever warrant and defend the title to my one half interest in above described tract of land against the claims of all persons whomsoever.

         Personally appeared before me, R.M. Felts, a Notary Public for said County and State, the within named H.G. Gilbert the bargainor, with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that he executed the within deed instrument for the purposes therein contained.
