         This Indenture made this 11th day of March 1833 in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two between William Finley, William Gilbert and Elizabeth Gilbert his wife, Thomas Finley, Reden Fields and Susanah Fields his wife, Pressella Finley, Britain Finley and John Findley all of the County of Carroll, and State of Tennessee of the one part and John Gilbert of the County of Robertson and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and forty five dollars to them in hand paid by the said John Gilbert the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledged hath bargained _____ sold quit claimed unto the said Gilbert his heirs and assigns forever a certain trat or parcel of land lying in Robertson County on the waters of Red River butted and bounded as follows, to Wit: Beginning at the single black oaks ___ West one hundred and sixty poles to two white oaks, thence South one hundred and forty poles to two white oaks and black oak pointers, thence East one hundred and sixty poles to hickory and dogwood, thence north one hundred and forty poles to the Beginning, containing one hundred and forty acres be the same more or less, to have and to hold to the said John Gilbert, with all and singular the appurtances thereunto belonging and any wise appertaining and the said William Finley, William Gilbert and Elizabeth Gilbert his wife, Thomas Finley, Reden Fields and Susanah Fields his wife, Pressilla Findley, Brittain Findley and John Findley, do warrant and defend from our ____ our heir or being and claiming by hrough or under then but not other wise unto the said John Gilbert his heirs and assigns, In witness whereof ___ the said William Findley, William Gilbert and Elizabeth Gilbert his wife, Thomas Findley, Redin Fields and Suanah Fields his wife, Pressilla Findley, Brittain Findley and John Findley hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written

State of Tennessee } Carroll County Court } March Term 1833 The within deed from Elizabeth Gilbert, William Gilbert, William Finley, Thomas Finley, Brittain Finley, John Finley, Susanah Fields, Percilla Finley and Reden Fields to John Gilbert for one hundred and forty acres was this day produced in open Court and execution thereof was duly acknowledged by the said William Gilbert, William Finly, Thomas Finley, Reddin Fields, Brittain Findley, John Findley and Persilla Findley and the said Elizabeth Gilbert and Susanah Gilbert being examined separate and apart from their said husbands and having freely relinquished their right of Dower to the estate conveyed to be their acts and deeds for the purposes therein contained and ordered to be certified for registration and state ___ paid to us.
