         This indenture made the 6th day of May AD eighteen hundred and sixty seven between Miles Draughan clerk and master of the Chancery Court of Robertson County Tennessee of the first part and T.H.L. Gilbert of Weakly County state of Tennessee of the second part. Witnesseth that by a decree of said court recorded at the December Term 1857 in he cause of said Gilbert & others complai_____ or _____ the said clerk and master did on the eleventh day of January 1857 sell at public auction the real estate herein after describe to the said T.H.L. Gilbert subject to the widow dower therein for two thousand and sixty four dollars as appears from report of said clerk and master made in said cause to the June Term 1858 and the said T.H.L. Gilbert having paid the sum of two thousand and sixy four daolars as required by the decree of said Court, confirming said report, now therefore he orders to carry into effect said sale in persuance of said decree and in consideration of the sum of $2064 00/100 dollars paid to said clerk the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged & the said Miles S. Draughon as such clerk and master hath bargained and doth hereby transfer and convey to the said T.H.L. Gilbert and to heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land in the County of Robertson and state of Tennessee subject to the widow dower therein and formerly belonging to the estate of John Gilbert Decd and bounded as follows: To wit as ___ from said report confirm by the court in said cause at the July Term 1859 an Order Book No. 2, p.187, Beginning on a walnut to Brooks corner in a hollow ____ South 86 2/3 degrees W 45 poles to a stone, thence S 89 ¾ degrees W crossing a creek at 160 poles in all 190 poles to a white oak John Ellison corner thence S 144 ½ poles to a stake Covingtons corner, thence S 89 ¾ E 196 poles to a stake & pointers in the line of the Church Land thence N 25 ¾ E 81 poles to a oak, thence S 85 E 6 poles to a stake ____ a Church, thence N 6 W 35 poles to a red bud, thence E to ___ poles to a fallen walnut, thence N 25 E crossing a creek at the mouth of a spring branch and containing in all 26 poles, thence N 58 E 8 poles thence N 45 E 34 poles thence N 13 ¼ E 12 poles to a hickory, thence N 10 W 20 poles to the beginning, containing 176 acres subject to the life estate of the widow dower therein. To have and to hold said real estate with all the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said T.H.L. Gilbert to his heirs and assigns forever.

         Robertson County Personally appeared before me R.G. Murphey the clerk of the County Court of said County the above named Miles S. Draughon Clerk and Master the bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged that he executed the foregoing Deed for the purposes therein contained.
