William K. Arnold from Edm'd and Mary Curd Nov'r 5th 1820.
         This Indenture made the fifteenth day of January in the year of Christ one thousand eight hundred and twenty between Edmond Curd and Mary Curd his wife both of the State of Kentucky and County of Logan of the one part and William K. Arnold of the State of Tennessee and County of Robertson of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred Dollars to them the said Edmond Curd and Mary his wife the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge, have bargained, sold and by these presents doth bargain, sell, Alien, confess and confirm unto the said William K. Arnold his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred acres and lying and being in the State of Tennessee Robertson County on the south side of Red River one tract Beginning on a white oak on the North Bank of Red River near or opposite an Island running south crossing the river two hundred and forty four poles to a red oak and two poplars, thence West one hundred and forty poles to two sugar tress under the Bluff, thence up Red River agreeable to its meander to the Beginning, containing one hundred and Seventy four acres & Also one other tract, Beginning on the South East corner of the above tract running South two hundred and seventy six poles to a forked white oak, thence West fourteen poles to a red oak , thence North two hundred & twenty six poles to a stake in the South boundary line of the first mentioned tract, thence East fourteen poles to the beginning containing twenty six acres to have and to hold and occupy and enjoy the same with every part and parcel thereof to the only proper use and benefit of him the said William K. Arnold and to his heirs forever with all houses, fences, woods, waters and water courses to the same belonging or in anyways appertaining with all and every revission and reversion remainder & remaiders and the said William K. Arnold being so rightfully and lawfully seized in fee simple the same with every part and parcel thereof, the said Edmond and Mary Curd his wife doth warrant and by these presents for themselves and their heirs forever Defend the above sold land and premises from and lawful title claim or demand that can be laid to the same or any part or parcel thereof by any person of persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof the said Edmund Curd and Mary his wife doth hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year written above.

         Personally appeared agreeable to an order of Court November Term 1819 Mary Curd wife of Edmund Curd before us Charles Miles and Jesse Bell two of the acting Justices of the (____) for the County aforesaid who being privately examined acknowledged that she the said Mary Curd did execute the above deed of conveyance to William K. Arnold of her own free will and accord this 15th day of January 1820.
