Ed Brewer to Elijah Arnold 8 Feb'y 1860;
         This Indenture made this the 25th day of June in the year of Our Lord, One thousand Eight hundred and fifty Eight between Edmond Brewer of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the first part and Elijah Arnold of the other part, Witnesseth that said Edmond Brewer for the consideration of one hundred dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold unto Elijah Arnold and do convey unto him all my interest to a certain tract or parcel of land, lying in District No. 1. Beginning on the South West Corner of Elijah Arnold's land it being stake, thence West thirteen poles to a stake thence North one hundred and twenty eight poles to a stake in Solomon Payne's line, thence East with his line 13 poles to a stake, Elijah Arnold's North West corner, thence south one hundred and twenty eight poles to the beginning, containing ten acres & 64 poles being the same more or less, To have and to hold from me my heirs & executors and Admin's forever with all it hereditments thereunto belonging, and I Edmond Brewer do bind myself, my heirs and Executors and Admin's forever to Warrant and defend the aforesaid tract or parcel of land from the lawful claims of all and every person lawfully claiming the same, But unto the said Elijah Arnold his heirs and assigns forever, In testimony Whereof I have affixed my seal, the day and date above written. Received 6 Feb'y 1860 at 4 o'clk PM.

         Personally appeared before me R. H. Murphey clk of the County Court for said County Edmond Brewer bargainer to the foregoing deed, with whom I am personally acquainted & he acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained.
