         This Indenture made this 16th day of September one Thousand eight hundred and twenty four, Between Drury Bell of the County of Robertson State of Tennessee of the one part and William K. Arnold of the County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained, sold and confirmed and by this present doth bargain, sell, convey, confirm unto the said William K. Arnold his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the South side of Red River Beginning at a Sassafras and gum bush & Hardy Grisards N. E. corner Running S. 80 degree West as agreed by Hardy Grisard & William K. Arnold twenty sixe poles to a dead oak, thence North Seventy two degrees West ninety one poles to a stake in said Arnold's line thence North forty nine poles to a dead Sassafras, thence East one hundred and forty Eight poles to a hickory in Blount's line, thence South one hundred and nine poles the Beginning containing Seventy three acres 2 degrees 27 poles be the same more or less to have and to hold in the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, With all the advantages, hereditments and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Wm. K Arnold his heirs or assigns forever and I the said Drury Bell for myself, my heirs & etc do warrant and ever defend the above bargained premises and every thing thereunto appertaining unto the said William K. Arnold his heirs & etc forever from all and every person or persons legally claiming the same, In testimony whereof I have hereunot set my hand and seal the day and date first above written.
