In the name of God, Amen:
         I William C. Berry of the State of Tennessee and county of Robertson, being of sound mind and perfect memory, ???ing the Incertainty of time and the certainty of death, do make and ordain this my last will and testament.
         And first of all I commit my body to the grave with a decent burial, and commend my soul to God who gave it.
         2nd; My will and desire is that all my just debts be paid.
         3rd; My will and desire is that my wife Ellen C. Berry have my land and all my personal property during her life.
         4th; My will and desire is that my daughter Sophia E. Weir, and my sister-in-law Mary Kirk have a home with my wife Ellen C. Berry as long as she lives.
         5th; My will and desire is that at the death of my wife, Ellen C. Berry my daughter Sophia E. Weir have ten acres of my land including my homestead, and all the improvements to have at her disposal forever.
         6th; My will and desire is that the remainder of my land be equally divided among the remainder of my children, that is to say, my daughter Pamelia A. Cunningham, James W. Berry, Lawrence K. Berry, Charles W. Berry, Lorenzo G. Berry, Margaret E. Arnold and the children of William K. Berry dec to have their father's interest in said land and my grand daughter Doris A. Arnold to have her mother's part in said land, said tract of land to be divided equally or sold and the proceeds divided, as my children that may be living shall think best.
         I hereby appoint my son James W. Berry as executor of this my last will and testament, without his being required to give bond and security.
         And I hereby direct and decree that my son James W. Berry Executor of this my last will and testament proceed to divide my land or sell the same and divide the proceeds as directed without any interference of law or equity; and whatever action he may take or deeds he may make to said land shall be as binding as though I had sold the same myself, without any action of law whatever.
         And I hereby revoke all other wills, and ordain and decree this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th of April A.D. 1879.
