State of Tennessee
Robertson County Court November Term 1858;
         Whereas it appears to the Court that Nancy Payne is dead and having made no Will or Testament and Application having been made by Dixon Payne to have Letters of Administration granted to him on the Estate of the said Nancy Payne dec’d he having given bond & security according to Law, the Court therefore order that he have them accordingly, These are therefore to authorize & empower you the said Dixon Payne to enter into and upon all and singular the goods, chattels, rights and credits of the said Nancy Payne dec’d and the same into your possession that wheresoever this same may be found in this State and a true & perfect inventory make and return on oath to our ensuing County Court and all the just debts of the intestate pay so far as said estate will amount or extend, the residue thereof deliver to those entitled to the same by Law. Herein fail not, R. H. Murphey Clerk of our said Court at office the 1st Monday in November 1858.
