Action and Order to Sell Land

         Wm Johnson, a Justice of the Peace for Robertson County State of Tennessee-Robertson County. Filed in Court the following papers:

         To any lawful officer of said County to execute & return, I command you to summons Milly Chowning & A. Brewer, to appear before me, or some other Justice of the Peace for said County, to answer the complaint of John Brewer, Executor of Edmund Brewer, deceased in a civil action by note in a sum under five hundred dollars, this the 3rd of November 1865. Joseph McNeill J. P. for Robertson County, Services acknowledged by Defendants and agree that judgement may be rendered against them, this 3rd day of November 1865. Joseph McNeill J.P. In this case I give Judgement in favor of John Brewer, Executor of Edmund Brewer deca€™d & against Milly Chowning and A. Brewer for Four Hundred and Eighty Three dollars and thirty one cents, this the 3rd day of November 1865.

         Hon. McNeill Esquire: Liz. I do hereby authorize you to enter Judgement against and as security to a note given by Louisa M. and W. J. Williams, to John Brewer. Executor of Edmund Brewer deceased, also I authorize you to use my name as (____) to a note.

         State of Tennessee: Robertson County, To any lawful officer to execute and return, You are hereby commanded as heretofore, that of the goods and chattels, land and tenements of Milly Chowning, A. Brewer and John N. Brewer, you cause to be made the sum of four hundred and eighty three dollars and thirty one cents, to satisfy a Judgement and Costs which John Brewer Executor of Edmund Brewer, obtained before Joseph McNeill, on the 3rd day of November 1865, against the said Milly Chowning, & A. Brewer & J. N. Brewer and such moneys when collected paid to the said John Brewer.
Given under my hand and seal this 1st day of February 1867.

         There being no personal property found in my County, I levy this fifa on one hundred acres of land, lying in the 2nd Civil District of Robertson County, Tennessee adjoining the lands of Charles Berry, James P. Warren and others as the property of Milly Chowning, this the 4th day of February 1867.

         And on motion of the Plaintiff it is ordered by the Court that the land so lived on be sold by the Sheriff of Robertson County, to satisfy the aforesaid Judgement of Joseph McNeill, Justice and also the costs of this prosecuting.
