SCOTTS HILL PENTECOSTAL CEMETERY
(Temple Cemetery, Holiness Cemetery)This cemetery was established in the 1950s. It is indicated on the U.S.G.S. Scotts Hill quadrangle (1986) as a small unnamed cemetery on to Highway 114 just southeast of Scotts Hill near the headwaters of Rushing Creek. It is maintained very well. David Donahue recorded this cemetery May 10, 1992 and checked and updated it in November 2001.
An earlier record of this cemetery was made by Margarett Alexander and Blanche Tuten in April 1977. Their record appears under the name Temple Cemetery in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records published by the Captain Daniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, pp. 579-583. They note 6 "unmarked" graves. This earlier work is referred to as UDC transcription in the notes below.
