PARKSVILLE OR SHIELDS

Location: At Parksville, which is 6 miles south of Benton.
Established: Before Civil War by Robert Shields and discon- tinued before1900.
Number of graves: At least six and possibly many more. Remarks: Robert Shields owned a grist mill here. Members of Shields, Jones, Hammons, and Mitchell families; also an infant daughter of D. C. Haskins are buried here. Located at Parksville Lake dam in the yard and under the dwelling nearest the power house.
