Polk County Driving Directions: From Benton, TN go north on Hwy 411 and follow 411 Hwy North of Benton abt. 4-5 miles. Watch for Hwy 30 and turn onto Hwy 30 following the Reliance signs. Stay on Hwy 30 until you reach Reliance, You will turn left at the inter of Hwy 30 and Tellico Reliance Rd. Go across the Hiawassee River and follow Reliance Tellico Rd for abt4-5 miles to Springtown Fire Station, Turn right onto Towee Pike and take the first road to the right, Old Burchfield Cemetery Rd. Follow this narrow road 2/10 of a mile. There will be a trail leading up into the woods, on the right side of the road. Follow this trail and it will lead you to the Old cemetery. This Cemetery is very old and there are many graves that are un-marked or have only rocks for headstones. Please be careful where you step. This is a complete transcription by Nancy k. Gates
