Location: 5 1/2 miles north of Benton on Patty to Coghill road.
Established: Probably prior to 1841, possibly by Samuel Weir.
Number of graves: 50 or more.
Acreage: Nicholson section 50 x 50. Columbiana section: 1.2 acre
Remarks: There are two sections of this cemetery The old sectiion (Columbiana) is on the farm of Mrs. John Coe in the woods. Buried in this section are: J. A Toomey, Sarah Jane Weir, and Samuel Weir, and their children. Farm once possibly owned by Weir family. The Columbiana section is at the line fence between the farms. Just over the fence at upper end of Columbiana section is the Nicholson section - on the farm now owned by the heirs of Jordon Carter. It was establshed on the farm of William H. Nicholson. He was born n 1853 and died 1891, possibly buried in this section. In the old section are 35 graves or more. In the new section are 15 graves or more.
