Perry County, Tennessee

Danielsburg Cemetery analysis

Analysis contributed by:  Jan Monnin 08 November 2008
Photographs contributed by:  Sandy Daniel

This cemetery is on the north side of highway 438 between highway 13 and Pineview. Access is from the drive to the farmhouse east of the cemetery. This cemetery is easy to miss even though it is only a few yards from the highway.  Access is from the drive to the farmhouse east of the cemetery.  This cemetery is located in the Tom's Creek section of the Tennessee Valley Watershed.

David Donahue recorded Danielsburg Cemetery November 26, 1999 and checked and updated it August 29, 2004. Mary (Stewart) Bowen and Melissa (Snyder) Bowen recorded the cemetery in the early 1990s. Their record appears in Mary Bowen's Perry County, Tennessee Cemetery Records (Vol. I). This earlier record is referred to as Bowen in the notes below.

There are a couple known transcriptions of this cemetery:

  • David Donahue recorded this cemetery on 26 November 1999;

  • David Donahue checked and updated it on 29 August 2004;

  • (both of the Donahue transcriptions were recorded on the TnGenWeb site currently at:   (click here)

  • Mary (Stewart) Bowen and Melissa (Snyder) Bowen recorded this cemetery in the early 1990s.  Their transcription was also published in the Bowen Cemetery book,  Volume 1.  Click here to see the transcription online.
