Perry County, Tennessee

Britts Chapel Cemetery and analysis

Analysis contributed by:  Joyce Warner Douglass 16 March 2009
Photos contributed by:  Sandy Daniel 09 March 2009

Britt's Chapel Cemetery is located in the Roan Creek Valley of Perry County, Tennessee. Based on death dates of graves with markers, the cemetery was popular between 1880 and 1910, and little used since 1920. Burials extend north and west of the area currently kept clear. Maintenance is minimal. A large number of graves, perhaps one-third or more, are unmarked.

This cemetery is located in the Roan Creek section of the Tennessee River watershed.

The following are the known transcriptions of this cemetery:

Britts Chapel Cemetery, March 2009

In the list below, I’ve started with what is recorded on the new searchable TnGenWeb site, compared it to the other transcriptions and made a note of any differences.
