Perry County, Tennessee

Bonesprings Cemetery analysis

Analysis contributed by:  Joyce Warner Douglass 09 Sept 2010
Photos contributed by:  Sandy Daniel

Bone Springs Cemetery is a nineteenth century cemetery, still in use, located on Old State Highway 13 about 2/10 mile south of the Humphreys County line. It is located in the Northeast Corner of the Buffalo River Watershed, East Side.

About two dozen graves remain marked by fieldstones and at many more spots ground disturbances indicate unmarked graves.

There are a couple known transcriptions of this cemetery:

  • This cemetery's transcription was published in Mary Bowen's Perry County, Tennessee Cemetery Records.  In the early 1990s.

  • David Donahue recorded this cemetery on 14 Jan 2000.

  • David Donahue checked and updated it 23 August 2004;

  • This cemetery’s transcription was also published in the Bowen Cemetery book;

In the list below, I’ve started with what is recorded on the new searchable TnGenWeb site,

compared it to the other transcriptions and made a note of any differences.
