This was Elijah “Tom” Graves’s home in Flatwoods; later, it became the boarding house of Izora (Kittrell) King. Then, her daughter Mortie King Armstrong and husband Brown Armstrong lived in the house. The new Flatwoods Academy was behind and to the right of the house; Students boarded at “Miss Izora’s” boarding house. The house was torn down around 2007..
