YEARY, GLENN DELBERT, age 65 of Harriman passed away Friday, February 09, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center. Mr. Yeary retired from BWXT-Y12 plant after 27 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. His hobbies included collecting and selling antique glassware. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Ethel Yeary, and his brother, Ed Yeary. YEARY, ROBERT EARL,  age 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, January 12, 2007 in a local healthcare facility. He was Manager of Water and Waste Water at Cleveland Utilities from 1964 until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of First Baptist church, an honorary member of the American Legion, and a member of the Elks Club. He was also a member of the Ky-Tenn, Lower East Tennessee Section, Water Association and was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Water and Wastewater Professionals in 1986. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. His parents, William and Matilda Manning Yeary, preceded him in death as well as three brothers: Tom Yeary, Benny Yeary and Andy Yeary, three sisters: Mary Matthews, Gussie Phillips and Della Bolden. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Elwana Yeary of Cleveland; two children: Robert Edwin Yeary and wife Mona of Chattanooga, and Virginia Ferguson of Nashville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Gibson officiating. Private graveside services will be held Sunday with Danny Ferguson, Robin Yeary, Jonathan Hesterly, Randy Shuford, Christopher Shuford and George Carlisle serving as pallbearers. YOAKUM, VADIE B., 90, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2001 in the Fentress County General Hospital. She was of the Protestant Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Yoakum; two brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her son Bruce and wife Carol Yoakum; two grandsons Joey and Bruce Yoakum, Jr.; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; sister Magaline West and brother H.W. YORK, HENRY MITCHEL  was born, Feb. 24, 1837 and died Dec. 26, 1920.  He was one of the 13 children of Jesse and Linda York. He was married to Nancy Jane Galloway, Oct. 6, 1859.     They were the parents of four boys and three girls. The two oldest girls and youngest boy have long since gone to Heaven.  He leaves his wife, three sons, John and James and his youngest daughter, Mrs. Solone, to mourn their loss. YORK, JOHN W., 81, Coalfield, formerly of Sunbright, and Albany, Ky., passed away Monday, May 30, 2005 in an automobile accident. He was a member of Annadale Baptist Church and was a Veteran of WWII. YOUNG, DOROTHY RUTH KEATON, of Oneida, TN., passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006, in the Life Care Center of Morgan Co.. Dorothy was born October 16, 1908, in Oneida, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clyde Young of Glenmary, TN, born February 20, 1906, and he passed away on March 31, 1986. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her Mother, Emma (Sexton) Keaton Pelton, born in 1891 and died in 1946; her Father, Starlin Stanford Keaton, born in 1888 and died in 1914; and three brothers, Clyde Keaton of Knoxville, TN, born in 1910 and died in 1976; Leon Stanford Keaton, born 1912 and died in 1952; and Starlin Orlando Keaton, born 1915 and died in 1917. Dorothy is survived by one Daughter, Betty Lynn (Young) Honeycutt, born August 9, 1944 in Oneida, TN., and now residing in Wartburg, TN, and one Granddaughter, Trisha Lynn (Honeycutt) Smith, born September 11, 1964, in Hamilton, Ohio, now residing in Wartburg, TN, with her husband, Kenneth Lewis Smith, born Sept. 8, 1946. YOUNG,  EMILEA   78, of the Gobey Community, died Nov. 27, 1995. Preceded in death five months ago by her husband of 66 years Gurley Young. YOUNG, GLENICE GENEVA HAAG, age 82, went home to be with her Lord on March 21, 2007 at her home in Wartburg with her family by her bedside. She faithfully attended Liberty Baptist Church. She was employed by TN Eastman Kodak-Y-12, Sunbright Shirt Factory, Breezy Wind Apparel, and retired from Red Kap with 20 yrs service totaling more than 30 years of employment. Her life can be best described by: Proverbs 31:27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and watching the birds. She was preceded in death by parents Charlie and Annie Henry Haag. Brothers Archie, Gus, Albert, Carl Haag. Six infant brothers and sisters of which one was her twin sister Glena. Sons James and Carl Young. Grandson Barry Redmon. Survived by her husband of 64 years; Jessie Young of Wartburg; Sons and daughters-in-law; Richard and Carolyn Young, Jack and Nancy Young of Wartburg. YOUNG, HERBERT J. – 81 of Harriman, passed away Friday morning, February 6 (2009) at 5:45 a.m. at Roane Medical Center after suffering from dementia for several years. He was born in Morgan County, Tennessee but his family moved to Harriman when he was 7 years old, where he resided until his death. He graduated from Harriman High School and attended Tennessee Tech. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and joined the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers. He worked at Harriman Utility Board and retired after 37 years of service. He became a Christian 62 years ago and was an ordained deacon for more than 40 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Oakdale. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bates and Cassie Young, brothers Walter, Homer, and Herman, and sisters Naomi Sampson, Alice Karr, Zonia Howard, Bonnie Jean Young, and Wanda Lee Young. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy; daughter, Rhonda Malenovsky and husband Eddie; son, Bill and wife Susan; grandchildren, Greg Malenovsky and wife Debbie of Hendersonville, Melodie Efferson and husband Randy of Midtown, Jason Young of Murfreesboro and Heather Young of Knoxville; brother, Hubert of Chattanooga and sister, Edith Melton of Harriman; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ethan, and Emily Efferson and Bates and Spenser Malenovsky. YOUNG, MR. HUGO, AGE 88, OF WARTBURG, WAS CALLED HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD ON OCTOBER 4, 2003 . HE WAS A FAITHFUL LONG TIME MEMBER OF ANNADALE BAPTIST CHURCH. JAMES FREDRICK ‘JIM’, of Burrville, TN, born December 21, 1940, passed away April 19, 2009 at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice center in Knoxville, Tn after a long battle with cancer.He was preceded in death by father: Oscar Fred Young, mother; Edith Greer Dalton, step-father; Estel Dalton, brothers; Harold Crouch, Travis Young and sister; Eva Jo Morgan. YOUNG, MR. JESSIE – age 85, went home to be with his Lord on July 1, 2008 at his home in Wartburg with his family by his beside. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Wartburg. Preceded in death by his wife, Glenice Geneva Haag Young; sons, James and Carl Young; and grandson, Barry Redmon; five brothers and six sisters. Mr. Young was honorably discharged from the C.C.C. after service in the Cades Cove area. He was a coal miner for over forty years and was instrumental in the construction of numerous tunnels around Washington D.C. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Carolyn Young, Jack and Nancy Young of Wartburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Young, Judy and Ronnie Redmon, Barbara and Jerry Ward, all of Wartburg, Mary Lee and Danny Smith of Lenoir City; twelve grandchildren, sixteen grandchildren; brother, Ralph Young of Wartburg; and sister, Georgie Young Henry of Mill Creek, and several special nieces and nephews.  YOUNG, JOHN HENRY, 62, Orange Park, Fl., passed away Nov. 21, 2001. He was born in Sunbright and moved to Florida in 1969. He retired from the US Navy after serving 30 years and was employed by ATT Broadband for 11 years. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve #91 and the V.F.W.  # 7909 both of Jacksonville. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Winnie Young; his daughter Lori Young Read of Orange Park; one brother James K. Young (Susan) of Lodi, Ohio; two grandchildren Ansley Elizabeth and Wesley Ashton Read of Orange Park. Funeral Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Ridgewood Baptist Church, Orange Park, with Rev. Norman Gardner officiating. Burial followed in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. YOUNG, MARIE, 86, Glenmary, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002 in the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.  She was a member of Glenmary Congregational Church.  She was a former school teacher and also worked as Postmaster in Glenmary.  She is survived by two sons, Charles R. Young of Wartburg, and David E. and wife Jane Young of Knoxville; two grandsons, John David Young of Johnson City and Robert James Young of Knoxville; three step-grandchildren, Erin, Tessa and Phillip Heyming all of Knoxville; two sisters Maxine Walls of Harriman and Imogene Nagy of Huntsville; and one niece and several nephews.  The family received friends Tuesday evening Feb. 26, 2002 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Schubert Funeral Home, Sunbright Chapel.  Funeral services began at 8 p.m with Rev. YOUNG, OSA MAE, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2007. She had attended Oakdale High School in Oakdale, Tennessee and was a 56 year resident of the Chattanooga area. Although she was unable to attend a local church, Mrs. Young was a deeply spiritual woman and Christian who was welcomed to eternity by her savior Jesus Christ. YOUNG,  J. DAILEY  98, of Burrville died Sept. 1, 1972. Mr. Young was perhaps the oldest resident of Morgan County, also the oldest subscriber of the Morgan County News. YOUNG, NOBEL G. –Mr. Noble G. Young, Sr., 78, of Elgin, TN died Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 4, 1981 in the Scott County Hospital.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Robbins.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elva Garrett Young; 4 Sons: Noble Jr. of Oak Ridge, TN; Robert (Bobby) Young of Toledo, Ohio; and Dale and Gale Young, both of Morristown, TN.  Seven daughters: Joy Lee of Chicago, Ill.; Dereda Lewallen of Robbins, TN; Minnie Sequin of Toledo, Ohio; Veda Roach of Newport, TN; Gertrude, Mable Gene, and Irene, all of Morristown, TN.  Also surviving are 25 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Friday at 2:00 P.m. at the Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright with Rev. Zion Primitive Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He was preceded in death by his father, William G. Young and sister, Neva Mae Edwards. YOUNGBLOOD, JACK:After a brief illness of three weeks, Jack Youngblood passed peacefully away at the home of his son, Virgil Youngblood of Glen Alice, March 27,1922, age 80 years. Mr. Youngblood was born in Habersham County, Georgia., June 15, 1842.  He was a member of the Baptist church and ready to meet his savior. He was a Veteran of the Civil War and the father of  twelve children, four of them who proceeded him to the glory-land. Mr. Youngblood was a resident of Coalfield and was in Glen Alice for a visit with his son when he was stricken with the flu followed by pneumonia which caused his death. He is survived by his wife and eight children. Funeral services were conducted by Reverend Leland Cook Tuesday afternoon, interment followed in the Glen Alice cemetery.  [Submitted]
