Survived by son, Joseph Abbott and wife, Shirley of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Jenny Kimbrough and husband, Dean of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren and two brothers, Robert Avery Abbott, Watkinsville, Ga., William Thomas Abbott, Vonore; and half brother, William Woodrow Pennick, Dayton, Ohio.
