THE HICKMAN CEMETERY
The Hickman Grave yard is 5 miles from Loudon. You turn off the highway at Brown's corner at left to the Davis school house, one past the Watts Cemetery, on the Burton Hill Ridge Road about ½ of a mile. This grave yard is in woods, on the farm of Ed. Kirkland. It has a new wire fence around it about a half of an acre of land. There are 13 unmarked graves. Copied by Richard Flohr, Lenoir City, TN. Jones Died Apr. 1, 1885 Age 72 years, 4 mos. 27 days In Memory of Wiley James Born Nov. 15, 1775 Died Apr. 6, 1855 Mary H. Jones Born Mar. 10, 1789 Died June 12, 1874 Age 85 yrs. 5 mos. 2 days Margaret M. L. Hickman Born Dec. 19, 1865 Died Jan. 1, 1881 Ruth A.C. H. Wife of J. M. Hickman Born May 22, 1885 Died sept. 27, 1905 As you are now so once was I As I am now so must be Prepare for death and follow me. Mike Hickman Died Feb. 15, 1937 Age 65 years, 7 mos., 12 days R. Y. Jones, Born June 20, 1821 Died June 19, 1891 As you pass call by and read Before you further do proceed No lasting pleasure in life I found, for happiness in Heaven.
