McKinley Mae Revelee, stillborn infant daughter of Jim and Teresa McKissack Revelee. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, March 24, 2003, at 1:00PM, in the Swiss cemetery with Jamie English Jr. officiating. Survivors include other than her parents,  three brothers Andrew and Austin Gray of Hohenwald and Anthony Revelee also of Hohenwald. Two sisters Diane Revelee and Kaylyn Revelee also of Hohenwald. Maternal grandparents Travis and Barbara McKissack of Hohenwald. Paternal Grandparents Charles and Patricia Morse of Seattle Washington and Gary Revelee of Seattle Washington. Also Great Grandparents Frank and Retha Gunsolley of California and James and Jean Greenwood of Washington

Blanch Lockie Fite, age 76, formerly of Hohenwald died on Monday morning at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.   Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Don Morris of Fellowship United Methodist Church officiating.   Burial will take place in Swiss Cemetery.   Survivors include her son Kerry Fite of Chattanooga, one daughter Debbie Warren of Murfreesboro and one sister Beulah Spiess of Hohenwald.   Also four grandchildren.   Mrs. Fite is preceded in death by her husband Jake D. Fite and her parents Oscar and Edna Dabbs Tatum.

Henry Andrew Staggs, age 55, formerly of Hohenwald, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at Williamson County Medical Center in Franklin. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday morning at 11:00AM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Glen Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss cemetery.  Survivors include his wife Bridgett Staggsof Columbia, mother Mamie Staggs of Hohenwald. Five sons Owen Staggs and Derrick Staggs of Columbia, Steve Staggs and Chris Gillette of Ohio, William Andrew Gillett of Indiana. Two daughters Kandy Joyce Staggs of Wilder and Shannon Hooks of Hohenwald. Also three sisters Wanda Sue Pack of Memphis, Barbara Allen of Hohenwald and Betty Frazier of Goodspring.   Eight Grandchildren.  Mr. Staggs is preceded in death by his parents Obie and Jerry Kirk Staggs

Michael Glenn Richardson, age 56, of Waynesboro, died Monday,  March 24,2003 in Hohenwald. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM Graveside in the Swiss cemetery with David Jackson officiating.   Survivors include a sister, Barbara Vincent of Bee Springs Ky.

Gerald Richard "Rick" Jones, age 64, formerly of Memphis, died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services will be conducted graveside on Tuesday in the Downey Cemetery with Richard Tate officiating.   Survivors include a son Christopher Jones of Indianapolis Ind. , three brothers, Guy Raymond Jones of St. Robert MO.,  Arnold Wells of Burkburnett, TX and Ron Jones of Orlando FL.  Also one sister Brenda Prestridge of Albuquerque, NM.  Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 AM on Tuesday morning and continue until time for the graveside services.

Billy Wayne Jackson, age 78, of Hohenwald, died Sunday March 30, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia.   Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at 3:00PM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home, with Robert Chandler, Garland Broadway and Dennis Abernathy officiating.   Burial will follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens.   Survivors include his wife, Wilma Owens Jackson, one son, Billy Don Jackson of Hohenwald, and two daughters Sherry Diane Joiner of Smyrna and Gwendolyn Thompson of Hohenwald. Also one brother, Leon Jackson of Hohenwald.   Four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel David and Bessie Emaline Goodman Jackson.   Also one son Gary Wayne Jackson.

Roberta (Peaches) Grime, age 83, of Hohenwald. Died Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 11:00AM at the Hohenwald Church of Christ with King McCarver, Charles Balcom and Bruce McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Jim Grimes of Mount Pleasant and Michael Grimes of Berea, Ky. Two brothers Leamon Ammons of Troy Mi. and Glen Ammons of Hohenwald. Also four sisters Dorothy Hurt of Dunwoody Ga, Mary Helen James of Centerville, Alma Warren and Madelyn Tharp of Hohenwald. Four Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her husband Ray Grimes and her parents Bill and Esther Norman Ammons.

Wilma Ruth Tatum, age 53, died Saturday at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Monday April 28, 2003,  at The General Assembly Church of the Firstborn with Brent Landers officiating.   Burial will follow in the Deavers Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Tatum. Four brothers, Ronald (Margaret) Hinson, Terry (Cheryl) Hinson and Vince (Dolores) Hinson all of Hohenwald and Billy (Debbie) Hinson of Mt. Juliet.   Also two sisters Wanda Seiber and Darlene Adkins both of Hohenwald. Mrs. Tatum was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Eli and Kathleen Barber Hinson and a brother Clovis Wayne Hinson.  Visitation with the Tatum family will begin at 12:00 noon on Sunday. Monday visitation will be at the church from 9:00 AM until service time.

Mary Hettie Grimes, wife of the late Orville Grimes, died at Lewis County Manor on Wednesday, 10 July 2003. She was 94. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday. 11 July 2003 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel with David Adcox and Bruce McIntyre officiating.   Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery.   Survivors include three sister-in-laws, Marie Grimes of Nashville, Grace Pace and Hettie Anderson both of Hohenwald. Also several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will begin at 5:30 on Wednesday.

Frances Louise Hazleton, age 69, died on Thursday, 10 July 2003 at Lewis County Manor. Graveside services were conducted on Friday, 11 July 2003 at 3:00PM at Swiss cemetery.  Charles Helms officiated. Survivors include a son, Johnny Atchley of Gary IN., two daughters Cynthia Atchley of Gary IN, and Teresa Atchley of Montana. Also four sisters Audra Nutt of Fairview, Caterine Breece, Johnnie V. Durham and Peggy Carroll all Hohenwald.

Stella Mae Warren, age 99, of Hohenwald, died Monday [July 14, 2002] at the Lewis Ambulatory Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 16, 2003, in the Funeral Home chapel. David Adcox and Bruce McIntyre will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Swiss Cemetery Mausoleum.  Survivors include one son, Meredith Henry Warren of Smyrna, one daughter Peggy Wayland of Hohenwald, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Clarence Wilson Melton, age 84, of Johnson City, TN. died Wednesday [July 16, 2003] at the Johnson City Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 19, 2003, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Bruce McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss cemetery.  Survivors include his wife Mary Ruth Amacher Melton, one son, John W. Melton (Carol) of Johnson City. Also three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Sharon Gay Whitaker, age 54, of Hobe Sound Florida, died Wednesday, July 15, 2003 in the Martin Memorial Hospital South, Stuart Florida. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 19, 2003, at 3:00PM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Joe Gray and Armando San Miguel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Davis-Oak Grove Cemetery.   Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Richard Whitaker, mother Daisy Martin of Hohenwald, three daughters, Feacha Gay Whitaker of Ft. Wayne IN, Cathy Garrett of Indianapolis IN, and Debbie Young of Canonsburg PA. Also a sister Tammy Newman of Nashville and two brothers, David Martin of Nashville and Jeff Hardin of Hohenwald. One grandchild.

Carl Baker, age 59, of Hohenwald, died Thursday [24 July 2003]at his home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00PM on Saturday  [26 July 2003] in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Jack Tharp will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Swiss cemetery.   Survivors include four brothers, Melvin and Carlton Baker both of Hohenwald, Billy Baker of Lawrenceburg and Robert Baker of Tiptonville. Also two sisters Lorene Nance and Irene Hinson both of Hohenwald.

Imogene Carroll, widow of the late Ernest Carroll, died Friday [25 July 2003] at Lewis County Manor Nursing Home in Hohenwald.  She was 77. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday evening [27 July 2003] at 2:00PM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Donald Duncan and Richie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Waynesboro.

Survivors include one son David Carroll (Joyce) of Hohenwald, one daughter, Peggy Yates (Kerry) of Waverly. Also three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Beatrice C. Eagle, age 90, of Royal Oak Michigan, died Monday, August 4, 2003 in the Cambridge North Nursing Center, Clawson Michigan. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, August 8, 2003, 11:00AM in Downey Cemetery.   Survivors include a daughter, Mylesan Coen (Victor) of Royal Oak Mich.. One sister Elva Hinson of Hohenwald and a grand-daughter Jessica Coen of Santa Minica, Ca.

Freddie Louise Brown Hanberry, age 84, died Thursday [7 August 2003] at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday [10 August 2003] evening at 2:00PM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Joe Paul Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery.   Survivors include her husband, Howard N. Hanberry, two sons, Larry N. (Suzanne) Hanberry of Nolensville and Bavid B. Hanberry of Antioch. Also three grandsons Marc Hanberry of Murphreesboro, Russell Hanberry of Nolensville and Phillip Hanberry of Antioch.

Leonard Ray Carroll died Friday at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. He was 67. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 10, 2003, at 2:00 PM, in the funeral home chapel with Gerald McCann officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Point cemetery.   Survivors include three sons, Perry, Todd and Randy Carroll all of Hohenwald. One daughter, Debbie Spurgeon of Hohenwald. Four brothers, J.D., Leslie, Herman and Lonnie Carroll all of Hohenwald. One sister Helen McCann of Hohenwald. Also twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren

Delbert Ray Mash Jr, age 20, died Friday, [August 8, 2003] at Lewis Ambulatory Care. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, [August 11, 2003] at 11:00 AM graveside in the Springer Cemetery.   Survivors include His father Delbert Ray Mash Sr, of Hohenwald, his mother Shirley Mash of Hohenwald, one son Grant Page Mash of Linden, one brother, Chris McDonald of Centerville. Also five sisters, Regina Goad of Pegram, Tammie Berry of Hohenwald, Rita Brown of Hohenwald, Donna Mattox of Summertown and Tammy Virdine of Lawrenceburg. Maternal Grandparents, Danny A. and Jean Swaw of Hohenwald.
 

Laurita Sue Lacoax died Friday, August 8, 2003, at her home.  She was 51.  Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Auagust 11, 2003, 2:00PM, at the Freedom Holy Temple Church with Glen Floyd, Lance Lacoax and Jeff Testerman officiating.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   Survivors include her husband, Dennis Lacoax, mother Vivian Foster, of Dundas Il. , two sons, Lance (Jennifer) Lacoax of Columbia and Jeremiah Lacoax of Hampshire. Two daughters Lauralee (Shae) Lacoax of Columbia and Jessica Lacoax of Hampshire. Also three sisters, Carol Drake, Niki Cathcart and Gloria Atkison all of Dundas,  IL.   Seven Grandchildren.
 

Larry Wyatt Freeman, age 46, of Hohenwald, died Monday August 11, 2003, at his home. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM at Lewis County Memorial Gardens. Bill Webb will officiate.  Survivors include his father and mother, Walter Sr. and Allison Freeman of Hohenwald. Two brothers, William Kenneth Freeman of Colchester CT. , and Walter Freeman Jr. of Denver CO. Also two sisters Laurie Loudermilk of Hohenwald and Evelyn Houra of Colchester CT.   There is no visitation scheduled.

Vickie Denise Harris, age 41, died Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 PM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Bill Webb and Bill McDonald will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wayne County Memorial Gardens.  Survivors include her mother, Carrie Harris of Clifton, companion, Rickey Simmons of Hohenwald, one son Chad Simmons of Hohenwald, a daughter Chelsey Simmons of Hohenwald and a brother Kenneth Harris of Linden.

Donald Ray Miller, age 65, of Hohenwald, died Wednesday, August 13,2003, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, August 15, 2003, at 11:00AM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Glen Floyd will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss cemetery.  Survivors include his wife, Maria Ruth Miller. One son Seth Miller of Hohenwald. One Sister Myra Buckles and one brother, Ronnie Miller both of Pennsylvania.

James Robert Crowe, age 57, died Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday evening at 1:00PM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Bill Webb and Glen Floyd will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss cemetery.  Survivors include one son, James Corey Crowe of Hohenwald, a brother Wayne Crowe of Romulus Michigan, three sisters, Elise Dunn and Faye Holt of Hohenwald and Wanda Hammonds of Columbia.

Rubye Louise Hooper, age 91, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003, at Lewis Co. Manor Nursing Home in Hohenwald. Funeral services are graveside today, August 15, 2003, at 10:00 AM, a Swiss Cemetery. Robert Heflin will officiate.  Survivors include one son, Harry Hooper, Jr. of Plant City Florida. Also one grandson.

Austin Wade Rasbury, age 63, of Hohenwald, died Saturday, August 23,2003, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning [August 25, 2003] at 10:00 AM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Malcolm George and David Salisbury officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.  Survivors include one son, Brad Rasbury of Hohenwald, a daughter Wendi Watts of Murfreesboro, one sister Annette Peery of Hohenwald and four grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, the late William Thomas and Vesta Irene Nutt Rasbury.

Tommie Aline Carroll, age 81, died Sunday [August 24, 2003] at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia.  She was 81. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday [August 27, 2003] afternoon at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Rex Reed and Jerry James officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney cemetery.  Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane Moss of Taylor Michigan, and Jessie Louise Salyers of Hohenwald. Also three sisters Christine Edwards of Columbia, Melba Lowell and Virgie Craig both of Columbia. Seventeen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Jessie Lucille Lawson, age 92, died Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at Lewis County Manor Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday afternoon [August 28, 2003] at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Malcolm George and David Salisbury will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lomax cemetery.  Survivors include three sons, Frank, Edwin and Larry (Butch) Lawson all of Hohenwald. Three daughters Dorothy Turnbow of Hohenwald, Carol Faye Canady of Nashville and Judy Throneberry of Lebanon. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
 

Carolyn Sue Harris, age 50 of Hohenwald, died Friday [29 August 2003] at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday [30 August 2003] at 2:00PM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Richard Tate and Artie Collins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.  Survivors include her mother Earline Harris of Hohenwald, one son Christopher Carroll of Memphis, Desiree Adams of Linden, two brothers Steven Roy and Randy Lee Harris both of Hohenwald. Also two sisters Laura Ann Johnston of Columbia and Jewell Stubbs of Birmingham Al. Also her special freind and companion Jeff Turner of Hohenwald.
 

Frederick Carl Rogers, age 36, died Thursday [28 August 2003] at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday [30 August 2003] morning at 11:00AM graveside at Deavers cemetery. Jeff Butler will officiate.  Survivors include his parents, Eugene and Connie Rogers of Hohenwald. One daughter Nikki Schaffin of Hohenwald. One brother Alan Rogers of Columbia. One sister Deinajane Rogers of Hohenwald and grandparents Geraldine and Kenneth Hart of Hohenwald.

Emily Lorraine Connelly, age 2, died Sunday, October 12, 2003 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 17, 2003, at McDonald Funeral Home. Rex Reed will officiate. Burial will follow in Swiss cemetery.  Survivors include her parents, Wayne and Rebecca Connelly of Hohenwald, two brothers Aaron Michael and Jacob Lane Connelly of Hohenwald, a sister Kristinia Renee Connelly of Hohenwald. Maternal grandfather Fred Pope and grandmother Gwendolyn Pope of Zion Il. , Paternal grandparents, Nancy and Gary Connelly both of Columbia, great grandmother Vivian Tanner of Columbia.

Eva Chumney Grover, age 89, died Friday, October 10, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel. Chip Hunter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss cemetery.  Survivors include a daughter Kay Holt of Columbia and a son Billy Grover of Naples Florida. Also five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Wilton Goforth died Thursday, September 11, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was 86. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday [14 October 2003] evening at 2:00PM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Artie Collins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss cemetery.   Survivors include two brothers, Frank Harris of Hohenwald and Clint Harris of Imperial MO. Two sisters, Dolly Hamelin of Antioch and Melma Crouch of Hohenwald. Five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

John Hershel Stephens died Thursday, September 11, 2003, at Perry Community Hospital in Linden. He was 91. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday [October 13, 2003] at 2:00 pm, in the funeral home chapel. Elder Garland Broadway will officiate. Burial will follow in the Downey cemetery.  Survivors include his wife Elsie Mae Stephens, two sons, John and Willie E. Stephens of Linden, one daughter, Melia Oneda Smith of Waynesboro. Also two sisters, Lela Quillen and Ezora Reeves of Hohenwald. Also eleven grandchildren , sixteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Charles William "Billy" Duncan, age 72, died Monday, September 8, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Hohenwald Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Downey Cemetery. Bruce McIntyre will officiate.   Survivors include his wife Ersie Lee Staggs Duncan. Two sons, Bobby Duncan of Hohenwald and James Wesley Duncan of DeLeon, Texas. Also two daughters, Mary Simmons of Hohenwald and Donna Kay Coan of DeLeon, Texas. Three sisters, Waldine Staggs of Ashland City, Frances Tripp of Lawrenceburg and Ophelia Willett of Metamora IL. Nine grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren.

Jessie Lucille George, age 85, died Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the Lewis County Manor. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, October 14, 2003 in the Downey Cemetery. Glen Floyd will officiate.  Survivors include three sons, Hallie Joe Newton of Centerville, Tony Newton of San Francisco Ca. and Norman Newton of Monroe IL. Two daughters, Dimple Foltz of Tamms, IL. and Phyllis Legg of Hohenwald.  Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Peter George Mertes, age 79, of Summertown, died Friday, October 10, 2003 in Lawrenceburg. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 13, 2003 at 1:00PM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Tommy Clark will officiate. Burial will follow with military honors in the Hinestown cemetery.  Survivors include his wife, Eva Mertes, two daughters, Beverly Carroll of Summertown and Audrey Wylie of Detroit Michigan. A sister Frances Deyo of Warren, Michigan.   Nine Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren.

 Frederick Carl Rogers, age 36, died Thursday [9 Oct  2003] at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday [11 Oct 2003]  morning at 11:00AM graveside at Deavers cemetery. Jeff Butler will officiate. Survivors include his parents, Eugene and Connie Rogers of Hohenwald. One daughter Nikki Schaffin of Hohenwald. One brother Alan Rogers of Columbia. One sister Deinajane Rogers of Hohenwald and grandparents Geraldine and Kenneth Hart of Hohenwald.

 Lela Quillen, age 86, died Friday [17 Oct 2003] at Maury Regional Hospital In Columbia. Funeral services are Sunday [19 Oct 2003] at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Jerry McMinn will officiate.  Burial will follow in the O'Guin cemetery.  Survivors include three sons, Arnold, Iralee and Wayne Quillen all of Hohenwald. Two daughters Fay Durham and Loudean Field both of Hohenwald. One sister, Ezora Reeves of Hohenwald. Ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Peggy Elizabeth Flippo, age 66, died Thursday, October 23, 2003. She was in Maury Regional Hospital.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 25, 2003, 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Donald Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Napier cemetery.   Survivors include four sons, Randy, Marvin, and Jeff Murdock of Hohenwald.  James Flippo of Hohenwald.  Also two daughters, Eleanor O'Guin and Mary Defoe both of Hohenwald. Seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Kenneth Albert Strickland, age 66, of Hohenwald, died Sunday October 26, 2003, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday October 29, 2003, graveside at the Lewis County Memorial Gardens. Bruce McIntyre and David Jackson will officitate.  Survivors include his wife, Ola Ann Strickland, sons Stephen Strickland, Eric Strickland, Daniel Inman, Randy Inman and Andrew Inman. Three daughters Kristina Spurlock, Anne Rugari and Sandy Stacy. Two brothers, Harley Strickland Jr. and Marty Strickland. One sister Nancy Glime. Also 18 Grandchildren.

Maggie Lou Rosson, age 84, died Tuesday October 28, 2003, at Centerville Health Care Center.  Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday October 30, 2003 in the funeral home chapel. Elvis Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in the Downey cemetery.   Survivors include a daughter Faye Gilbert of Hohenwald. Three brothers, Enoch Whitehead of Centerville, Willard Whitehead of Cumberland City and Jerry Whitehead of Hampshire. William Roscoe Frazier, age 93, of Hohenwald, died Thursday, October 30, 2003, at Baptist-Hickman Nursing Center in Centerville.   Funeral services are Sunday at 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel .   Jimmy Garner will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Waynesboro.   Survivors include his daughter, Lucille Wiley of Duck River, two sons, Eddie Frazier of Hohenwald and Rickey Frazier of Hohenwald. Two brothers Ward and Rex Frazier both of Hohenwald. Fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

 Christopher Lynn Huggins, age 40, a self employed merchant, died suddenly Saturday, November 1, 2003, in Linden. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 4, 2003 in the funeral home chapel.   Glen Floyd will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.    Survivors include his companion, Janet Cotham of Hohenwald, a step son Chad Cotham of Hohenwald, a step daughter Chelsea Cotham of Hohenwald. Two brothers, Terry Middleton of Panama City Fla. and Mike Middleton of Hohenwald. A sister, Brenda Horner of Hohenwald. Also two grandchildren.
 

Willie Ray Hinson, age 63, of Hohenwald, died Saturday, November 1, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at 2:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.   Bill Webb will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Deavers Cemetery.   Survivors include six sons, Bobby, Byron, Rickey and Michael Hinson of Bad Axe Michigan, Billy Hinson of Florida and Jimmy Hinson of Hohenwald.  One brother Mike Black of Hohenwald. Eleven grandchildren.   Mr. Hinson was retired as an inspector for General Motors.   He was the son of the late Olan Hinson and Era Hinson Black. He is also preceded in death by two brothers John and Jerry Wayne Hinson.
 

Linda Faye Baker, age 52, of Hohenwald, TN died Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 7, 2003 at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.  Mrs. Baker , born March 6, 1951,was a native of Tiptonville, TN, the daughter of the late T. Z. and Gertrude Tabor. She was a housewife.  Survivors include: Husband, Carlton Baker of Hohenwald, brother-in-laws, Billy Baker of Lawrenceburg; Melvin Baker and Billy Ray Hinson of Hohenwald and Robert Baker of Tiptonville, TN; sister-in-laws Irene Hinson and Lorene Nance both of Hohenwald and Anita Baker of Lawrenceburg. Also several nieces and nephews.
 

Atlas B. Cross, age 70 of Iron City, TN died on November 5, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia.  Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Dan Buie officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Pleasantville.  Mr. Cross who was a carpet installer, was born Feb. 8, 1933 in Hickman Co., TN. He was the son of the late Harvey and Myrtle Roden Cross.  Survivors include his wife Pauline Cross of Iron City, son Jeffrey Cross of Hohenwald, step son Larry Moore of Lawrenceburg, daughters Peggy Carroll and Patty Robertson both of Hohenwald, step daughters Anita Carroll of Savannah and Vicky Moore of Waynesboro; brother Donald Cross of Hohenwald, sisters Vera Porter of Fairview, Glenda Tanner of Centerville, Gail Willis of Columbia, Karen Turner of Hohenwald and Joyce Banfield of Smyrna; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren.
 

 Mary Gladys Roden of Hohenwald, died Thursday, November 6, 2003, in Cordova.Born June 3, 1932, she was 71. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 8, 2003, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Chip Hunter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Graves Cemetery.   Survivors include her two daughters, Katrina Scott of Collierville and Kendy Lindley of Cordova. Also six grandchildren.   Mrs. Roden was the daughter of John Gray and Edith Byron Trull. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Albert Roden, her step father James Yeiser Trull and a sister Johnnie Gray.
 

Agnes Elizabeth Baker, born October 24, 1913, died Friday, November 7, 2003, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Medina Ohio. She was 90 years old. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 10, 2003, at 11:00 AM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Richard Tate will officiate and burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery on Cathey's Creek in Hampshire.   Mrs. Baker had resided in Ohio for the past 60 years. She was the widow of the late Stanley L. Baker and the daughter of the late Byron C. and Permilia Ann McNabb Peery.   She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.   Survivors include two sons Kyle Baker of Medina, Ohio and S. Wayne Baker of Copley Ohio. One brother Euel "Toy" Peery of Hohenwald and one sister, Mary Hinson of Hohenwald. Four Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.

Nordella “Kae” (Horvath) Peters (nee Manning), age 58, of Lorain, died Friday November 7, 2003 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born August 1, 1945 in Oxnard, California, she was a resident of Lorain since 1979.   A four year employee of the Lorain City Schools, she worked in the schools maintenance department. She enjoyed trips to Tennessee, motorcycles, cooking, old movies, and spending time with family and friends.  She is survived by her loving husband and companion, Matthew R. Peters of Lorain; daughters: Sheri Kae Haskell and Telesha Novay Horvath, both of Toledo; daughter and son-in-law Kari Sue and Orlando Gonzalez of Toledo; and son: Michael Wade Horvath of Elyria; adored grandchildren: Dwain, Danelle, and Philip Haskell, Kadi and Matthew Gonzalez, and Mattie Garcia; sister: Elaine; and brothers: Nick, Chuck, and Martin Manning. She was preceded in death by granddaughter Olivia Simone; father: George D. Manning; mother: Ora Louella (nee Compton) Wilson; and brother: David Manning.   There will be no visitation. Herbert Floyd, age 92, of Hohenwald died Sunday, November 9, 2003 at his residence. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, November 10, 2003, 2:00PM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Glen Floyd and Jimmy Pearcy officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.   Born Feb. 17, 1911, Mr. Floyd was the son of the late Marion and Nancy Dabbs Floyd. He was the widow of the late Bertha Turnbow Floyd. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.   Survivors include one son Austin Earl (Lorene) Floyd of Hohenwald. A grandaughter, Jennifer Barber of Hohenwald. One great-grandaughter, Stephanie Thomas of Hohenwald and one great-great-grandaughter, Kriston Thomas of Hohenwald.
 

Laura Virgiline Tatum died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer. She was 86. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 21, 2003, at 11: AM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home, Hohenwald. Claude Gardner and Ray Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery in Wayne County.   Mrs. Tatum was born May 12, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Ollie and Sallie Whitehead Adkins. She was the widow of the late Nathan Tatum.   Survivors include a son, Jack (Barbara) Tatum of Linden, a daughter, Frances Hollie of Ramer, One sister Roxie Kelley of Gallatin. One half brother Johnny Adkins of Hohenwald. Two half sisters, Dona Lay of Parsons and Betty Burlison of Hohenwald. Also four grandchildren, Mark (Diana) Hollie of Ramer, Jeff (Angie) Tatum of Hohenwald, Sherrie (Ray Wilson of Adamsville and Beverly (Jason) Shanes of Linden. Five great-grandchildren Samantha Hollie of Ramer, Tyler and A'Lauren Shanes of Linden, Maddie and Hollie Wilson of Adamsville.
 

Frank Harris, age 71, of Hohenwald, died Thursday, November 20, 2003, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 22, 2003, at 2:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel.   Elton Jackson and Malcolm George will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.   Survivors include his wife, Wilma Mayberry Harris, one son Terry Harris of Hohenwald, one daughter Tracy Lomax of Hohenwald, one brother, Clint Harris of Imperial MO, two sisters, Melma Crouch of Hohenwald and Dolly Hamelin of Antioch.   Also four grandchildren,  Ashley Lomax, Jordan Harris, Rhys Harris and Justin Hensley all of Hohenwald.     Mr. Harris was born April 10, 1932.   He was the son of the late James Franklin, Sr. and Laura Ann Dabbs Harris. He was a member of the Grinders Creek Church of Christ.   He was the owner of Harris Building Supply and a former Lewis County Commissioner.
 

 James Scott Demorest, age 61, of Hohenwald, died Saturday, November 22, 2003, in Bryson City N.C. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2003, at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.    Bill Webb will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Napier Cemetery.   Survivors include his wife, Karen Demorest, three sons, James Alan Demorest, II of Steamboat Springs, CO, David Demorest of Tupelo MS., and Mark Scott Demorest of Columbia. Also a daughter, Melanie Spell of Yazoo, MS. One brother Daniel Demorest of Myrtle Beach SC, two sisters, Jeannie Westenberger of Virginia and Suzie Moore of Myrtle Beach, SC.   Four grandaughters, Jessica and Amber Demorest of Tupelo MS, and Kristin and Alisa Demorest of Columbia. Three grandsons, Zachary Spell of Yazoo MS. and Jared Scott and Mark Thomas Demorest of Columbia.   Mr. Demorest was the son of the late James A. and Nancy Cash Demorest.  He was born March 9, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio.   He was a veteran of the United States Marines serving during the Vietnam era.   He was an employee of Domino Pizza Corporation.

Lorene Virglyn Romine Kilpatrick died Wednnesday, November 26, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was 78. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2003, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Artie Collins, Elton Jackson and Patrick Hogan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Springer Cemetery.   Survivors include one brother, Lonnie Romine of Nashville. Also several nieces and nephews.   Mrs. Kilpatrick, born March 25, 1925, was the daughter of the late William and Katie White Romine.  She was the wife of the late Ollie Kirk Kilpatrick who proceeded her in death in 1986.   She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Janie McCartney and Bessie Tatum.  Mrs. Kilpatrick attended the Springer Church of Christ. Before retirement she worked at Henry I Siegels,  Genesco and Dana Corporation.   Visitation will begin at 3:30 PM on Friday, November 28, 2003.

Thressa Ellen Carroll  died Sunday, November 30, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was 65.  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 4, 2003, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Rex Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Oaks Cemetery.   Survivors include three sons, Leroy Harold Downs, Jr. and Jeffery Lynn Downs both of Hohenwald and James Nathaniel Downs of Gladwin MI. One daughter Paula Marie Rich of Hohenwald. Two sisters, Doris Danowski of Roscommon, MI. and Doris McCormick of Belleville, MI. Also eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.   Mrs. Carroll was born March 31, 1938. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Bason Bills.
 

Martha Elaine Moore, age 58, died Thursday, December 4, 2003 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted graveside, Friday, December 5, 2003, at 2:00 PM in the Palestine Cemetery.   L.C. Loveless will officiate.   Survivors include two sons, Jeff and Jason Moore of Hohenwald. Two daughters, DeDe Lay and Annette Calvert both of Hohenwald. Three sisters, Rebecca King, Barbara Turner and Brenda Amacher all of Hohenwald. Grandchildren, Michael, Brandy and Brittany Moore, Patrick and April Calvert and Kendall Seiber all of Hohenwald.   Mrs. Moore, born December 1, 1945, was the daughter of the late Carl and Christine Jones Amacher. She was the wife of the late Billy Wayne  Moore.

 Connie Lee Crowe died Wednesday December 10, 2003, at Perry Community Hospital in Linden.   She was 55.   Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 12, 2003, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Jerry McDonald will officiate with burial to follow in the Springer Cemetery.   Survivors include her husband Monty L. Crowe, one son John Matthew Crowe Sr. of Hohenwald, two brothers, Douglas Stephens of West Jefferson N.C. and Danny Melton of Sarasota FL.   Also one sister Linda Campbell of Doylestown PA. Two grandchildren John Matthew Crowe, Jr. and Hannah Nicole Crowe both of Hohenwald.   Mrs. Crowe, born August 11, 1948, was the daughter of the late Charles Douglas and Kathleen Marie Melton Crowe. She is also preceded in death by one son Monty L. Crowe Jr.   She was an employee of the Lewis County Manor Nursing Home.

Johnnie Pearl Duncan died Friday morning, December 12, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was 85. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning, December 13, 2003, at 11:00 AM, in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel. Elvis Williams, minister of the Flatrock Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery.   Survivors include one daughter, Connie (Roger) Pennington of Hohenwald, a daughter in law, Carolyn Duncan of Hohenwald, and three granddaughters, Jana Eastland of Franklin, Amy Duncan of Martinsburg West Virginia and Becky Pennington of Hohenwald.   Mrs. Duncan, a former Genesco employee, was born May 28, 1918. She was the daughter of the late John Henderson and Anna Fite Churchwell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Ward Duncan.

Hubert Barber, age 59, of Linden, died Sunday, December 14, 2003 at his home. He was 59. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at 11:00 AM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel in Hohenwald. David Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barber Qualls Cemetery in Linden.   Survivors include his wife, Bertha Grace Adams Barber, four step-sons, Billy Phillips of Canton GA. Rex Phillips of Lincoln Park MI., Kayo and Philbert Phillips of Hohenwald. Also four brothers, Hilliard and Huron Barber of Linden, Hassell Barber of Lincoln Park MI. and Hershel Barber of Hohenwald. One sister, Helen Qualls of Linden. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.   Mr. Barber was born February 13, 1944. He was the son of the late George Floyd and Lillian Rodgers Barber. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Hollis Barber and a sister Hazel Boswell. He was a 36 year employee of Dana Corporation presently employed with Eaton Industries.

Dan Hardy, age 89, of Hohenwald, died Monday, December 15, 2003, at the Lewis County Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Clifton Johnson, minister of the Leipers Fork Primitive Baptist Church in Arrington will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.   Survivors include one daughter, Nell Johnson (Sam) of Arrington, one sister Iva Dell Clifton of Etheridge, three grandchildren, Kathy Vick (Joe) of Murfreesboro, Danny Weigel (Mandy) of Castalian Springs, Price Johnson ( Andrea) of College Grove. Five Great Grandchildren, Samantha Vick of Murfreesboro, Daniel Weigel of Knoxville, Taylor Brown, Dalton Johnson and Josie Johnson all of College Grove.   Mr. Hardy, born February 2, 1914, was married to the late Haskel Hardy. He is the son of the late Francis Marion and Harriet Elizabeth Martin Hardy. He was a retired carpenter.

Carlos M. Holland, age 88, of Hohenwald, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 18, 2003, at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend's L.H. Benson, Walter Droke and Dwayne Sparks will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.    Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Lela Chumney Holland. Two daughters Carlene (Rev. Jimmy) Greer of Memphis and Marilyn (Gary) Hensley of Hohenwald. Two sons Paul (Erlene) Holland of Nashville and Mac (Kaye) Holland of Brentwood. Also six brothers, David and Perry Holland of Savannah, Leslie Holland of Bethel Springs, Melvin Holland of Henderson and Charles Holland of Union City. Twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.   Mr. Holland was born December 13, 1914. He was the son of the late Eber and Sula Plunk Holland. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church a supervisor at Genesco for 34 years and maintenance/transportation supervisor for the Lewis County Board of Education for 10 years. He served as Vice Mayor and Councilman for the City of Hohenwald.

Clebert William Haley, age 73, of Hohenwald, TN., died Thursday, December 18, 2003, at Centenial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 20, 2003, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Dwayne Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.   Survivors include his wife, Virginia Pevehouse Haley, three sons, Darrell, Roger D. and Guy Haley all of Dickson. Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.   Mr. Haley, born November 6, 1930, was the son of the late Archie M. and Jennie Mae Stone Haley.

Ruby Pauline Melson Sims Johnson, age 75, of Hohenwald, was pronounced dead on arrival at Perry Community Hospital in Linden on Friday, December 19, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 21, 2003, 2:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel. Richard Tate will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kittrell Cemetery.   Survivors include her husband, Howard Johnson, three sons, Vic Sims of Hohenwald, Jimmy Sims of Hickory N.C. and Bobby Sims of Memphis. Also a sister, Hattie Mae Herston of Sheffield AL.   A special friend Betty Leigh of Hohenwald.   Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.   Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her first husband, Turner Sims.   She was born May 12, 1928. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Cecil & Minnie Warren Melson.   She was an employee of H.I.S.

Melba Lorraine McClain, age 80, of Hohenwald, died Sunday, December 21, 2003, at NHC Health Care in Smithville. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 2:00 PM in the Downey Cemetery. Marcus Webb will officiate.   Survivors include a son Ronald McClain of Horn Lake MS;  a daughter Linda Gale Madorin of Auburntown, two sisters, Eva Hensley and Jewell Mosely both of Hohenwald. Also four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.   Mrs. McClain, born November 2, 1923, was the daughter of the late Willie Claud and Bessie B. French Anderson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eunice Roscoe McClain and a daughter, Shirley Cunningham.

Joe Duncan, age 82, of Hohenwald, died at his home on Monday December 22, 2003. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at Edwards Cemetery. Richard Tate will officiate.   He is survived by several cousins and close friends.   Mr. Duncan, born January 16, 1921, was the son of the late Eather Ambrose and Omie Inez McClearen Duncan.

Pauline Josephine Hensley Bates, age 82, of Hohenwald, died Saturday, December 27, 2003, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 29, 2003, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Glen Floyd and Don Meredith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery.   Survivors include three sons, Danny, Stephen and Clark Bates all of Hohenwald. Also nine daughters, Ruhama Sisco, Angela Floyd, Lynda Mercer, Janice Willis, Helen Bates, Judy Schwendimann and Donna Couch all of Hohenwald. Barbara Meredith of Centerville and Jill Hunt of Lyles.  Mrs. Bates was born December 12, 1921 in Camden, TN. Her parents were the late Robert L. and Ruhama Webb Hensley. She was the widow of Jason C. Bates. She is also preceded in death by a son Jason Clifford Bates, II. She was an employee of Genesco.

Claude Thomas Miller, age 59, of Hohenwald, died Saturday [27 December 2003] at Veterans Hospital in Nashville.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning [2 January 2004] at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Timothy Giles officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.   Survivors include his wife Shannon Dee Bumgarner Miller, seven daughters, Shawn Marie (Jeff) Houle and Valerie Jean (Dave) Geisinger of Bottenoue ND, Shandee Ann Hamelin of El Paso TX,  Scarlette O'Hara (Tim) King of Pleasantivlle, Mary Estelle (Timothy) Giles of  Lewisburg, Michelle Antoinette (Chris) Galloway and Claudean Longette Miller of Hohenwald.   One brother Edwin Lewis Miller of Florida and one sister Barbara Ann (Billy) Baterby of Gloucester VA.  Also eight grandchildren.  Mr. MIller, born May 7, 1944, was the son of the late Thomas Edwin and Ethel Virginia Van Nostrand Miller. He was retired from the the United States Army having served during the Vietnam era.

Suzan Marie Gordan, age 52, of Summertown, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at NHC Healthcare in Columbia. The family will receive friends on Friday January 2, 2004 at McDonald Funeral Home from 4:30 till 7:00 PM. Funeral services are not scheduled at this time.   Survivors include her husband Terrance Gordon, four sons Jason, Nathan and Olney Gordon of Summertown, and Israel Gordon of Crawfordville, GA.  One brother Thomas Moore of Britton, MI. One sister Sally Seals of Cement City, MI. Also four grandchildren.   Mrs. Gordon, born November 18, 1951 in Ypsilanti, [Washtenaw County]  MI, was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Nancy Jane Goodrich Moore. She was a housewife.
