OWENS, MOREFIELD – I am researching my grandfather, Thomas Garfield OWENS, born in 1884 or 1889. He listed his parents as John William OWENS and Mary MOREFIELD. I have been told his parents never married and he was raised by his grandparents. He had an Aunt Georgia CORUM. He married a Maggie ESTEPP and had a son named Glenn. HOCKADAY, WIDBY, WILSON – I would like to share information with people who are researching the following names in Johnson Co. TN. HOCKADAY, WIDBY, and WILSON. Jonathan M. HOCKADAY and Elizabeth WIDBY HOCKADAY, were listed in the 1850 Johnson Co. TN census. Where did they go? Are they buried somewhere in Johnson Co.? Elizabeth’s parents were William WIDBY and Elizabeth WILSON. Jonathan and Elizabeth HOCKADAY’s sons Thomas and John came to Missouri/Kansas by 1860’s. My line comes down from Thomas but have a lot of information on John’s family also.
