Supreme Judge.
- We are authorized to announce Col. J. B. Cooke, as a candidate for Judge of the Supreme Court, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of the Hon. T. A. R. Nelson. Election first Thursday in August.
- We are authorized and requested to announce Hon. Robert McFarland, as a candidate for Judge of the Supreme Court, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Judge Nelson.
Congress.
- We are authorized to announce Col. A. Blizard, as a candidate for Congress in the Third Congressional District, at the election in November next.
Legislature
- We are authorized and requested to announce Col. W. C. Peak, of Meigs, as a candidate for the district composed of the counties of Cumberland, James, Rhea and Meigs, in the next Legislature. Election first Tuesday in November.
- We are authorized to announce Anderson Campbell, Esq., as a candidate to represent Bradley and Polk counties in the lower house of the next State Legislature, at the election in November next.
Sheriff
- We are authorized to announce the name of I. B. Newton, as a candidate for Sheriff of Bradley county, at the ensuing August election.
- We are authorized to announce John K. Brown as a candidate for Sheriff of Bradley county, at the ensuing election in August.
- We are authorized to announce Isaac Low as a candidate for Sheriff of Bradley county, at the ensuing election in August.
Trustee
- We are authorized to announce W.R. Trewhitt as a candidate for Trustee of Bradley county, at the election in August next.
- We are authorized to announce J.L. Blackburn as a candidate for Trustee of Bradley county, at the election in August next.
- We are authorized to announce John W. Witcher as a candidate for Trustee of Bradley county, at the election in August next.
