  1. To Linda Benson Cox, re: the Clark Family History

    Dear Linda Cox,

I hope we may be related. Our families begin at Jamestown (our Captain James Davis sailed the “Virginia” pinnace from London, and yours came on the Mary and Ann. His family descendants were Davis/Corbin, then Corbin/Clark.

We’ve traced our Clark line to James (1798-1877) and Sarah Clark of Virginia, and are stuck. Our Clarks were primarily in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and Arkansas, where we have current relatives. There’s a family rumor of Quakers and an Indian ancestor.

Your document made me hopeful. I’m using ancestry.com, and wonder if you are on it also, or if I may view your research in another program?

    Thank you

    1. Could you email the Clark Line to me? My grandmother was Pinkie Ella Clark married to Gideon James in Arkansas. My email is lisalbevill@att.net. Pinkie and Gid had several daughters and one son. My mother is Ethel Maydean (James) Harrison. I have three children. Eric Harrison Zackary Pennington and Matthew Santifer.
