Marriage Book 1 covers the period 1789-1823. Not every marriage that occurred in Hawkins County during this period is in the volume.  Records were lost during the Civil War, according to an affidavit from the County Court Clerk.

These records are now located in the Hawkins County Archives.  The list below was transcribed from copies of the bonds in Rogersville by Susan Roberts.  Some names are truncated.  This is how they appeared in the transcription as originally placed on-line.
