Summer

Independence Day Festival and Parade — Historic Rogersville sponsors a huge Fourth of July Celebration, bringing together more than 50,000 people annually. In addition to one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southeast, the festival features a free concert by a country music superstar. Past acts have included John Anderson, Brad Paisley, Tracy Byrd, and many more. In the Rogersville City Park; open rain or shine, all day. Free. For more information, call 423-272-7497.

Mount Carmel Block Party — 2nd weekend in July
This street festival kicks-off the regional Fun Fest celebration with a fun-filled event in Mount Carmel. Join street vendors and festival-goers for plenty of opportunities for the whole family. Downtown Mount Carmel. For more information, call 423-357-7311.

Archie Campbell Days — Labor Day weekend
The citizens of Bulls Gap celebrate their most famous son, the comedian from CBS’s variety-comedy show Hee-Haw, with this street festival in downtown Olde Bulls Gap on Labor Day Weekend. Riverfront Festival — September

Mount Carmel Fall Festival — October

Hawkins County Heritage Days — 2nd weekend in October
Named a “Top Twenty Event in the Southeast” for October, Heritage Days is one of the most memorable festivals in the region. Crowds of more than 40,000 have taken part of the heritage experience in the past, and each year more and more people learn why Historic Rogersville is one of Tennessee’s best kept secrets. Winter

Rogersville Christmas Parade — 1st Saturday in December
Santa makes his official visit to Rogersville in the town’s kick-off of the Christmas season. Parade begins at the Rogersville Middle School off of East Main Street. For more information, call 423-272-2186.

Bulls Gap Christmas Parade — 1st Sunday in December

Tour of Homes, Merchant Open House, and Yule Log Ceremony — December
An annual tradition in Historic Rogersville includes a celebration of the holidays with a tour of the town’s homes and residences that are apart of the National Register of Historic Places, special events and sales as a part of the merchants and businesses in the downtown district, and a traditional lighting of a holiday Yule Log. 423-272-1961
