AKIN NOTES
Other researchers and I of this descendancy have been "stuck" on our Phillips,
McCanns, Garrisons, Lingo's, Martin's, Reeds, Gammells, Binghams and other lateral lines who passed through Hardin Co., TN. Any help will be appreciated, as we are having to work with burned out counties, early deaths in AR of our kin and little other information to go on.

GAMMELL NOTES
Now that Gwen has learned her BEDWELL/GAMMILL families were in early Bedford, then Marshall Counties, TN then to Hardin Co., TN in 1840's we may look more closely at the Phillips and Garrisons in those counties. Maybe these folks had migrated from a common place to this area? There are very few records for Bedford. I do not have the deed index for Hardin Co. JM)

DEED INDEX - BEDFORD CO., TN
(Several pages are much too dim to read. I have ordered deeds from this county and they would probably be willing to send you copies of the B's or ask them to send a list of Bedwells, etc. for period up to about 1825, unless you plan to use the LDS film. The county clerk in Bedford was very helpful to me. JM)
