McFarland Cemetery - Walker County, GA


The McFarland Cemetery is located about five miles south of Chattanooga on the McFarland road. The McFarland road leaves from Rossville, Georgia and the cemetery is about one and one half miles south of Rossville. The land for the Cemetery was given by John Buie McFarland and he has the oldest marked grave. There are about two hundred graves that are not marked.

McFarland, Lucy A - Wife of Z G McFarland - and daughter of Robert and Cynthia Boyle - Oct 16, 1819 - July 5, 1877 - 'She had lived from early childhood untill her death in the communion of the Presbyterian Church. 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.' Let me die the death of the richteous and let my last end be like His.'
