FamilySearch Partnership

In 2010, the TNGenWeb Project partnered with FamilySearch, the genealogy branch of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, to collaborate on the FamilySearch Records Wiki.

The Wiki allows YOU to  share what you know.  I know you’ve used Wikipedia right? Think of the FamilySearch Records Wiki as a “Wikipedia for Genealogy.”   Our project coordinators also contribute to help make the Tennessee pages as helpful as possible for your research.   On the wiki you will find pages for each TN county as well as topics as diverse as African American Research, Divorces, Immigrations, Gazateers, Periodicals, Voting Registers and so much more.  You name it, it’s probably there. If not, sign up to add it!

You can also participate in the Tennessee Genealogy Research Group Facebook page to interact with other Wiki contributors and researchers.  They can also help answer any questions you may have about editing pages.  It’s truly a win-win situation. For example, check out the Davidson County wiki page.
