HATCHER,

HATCHER, Harry L. I have a photograph that was made at a commercial photgrapher in Alexandria, TN. The date written on it is either 1829 or 1879. It looks more like 1829 and is believed to be his birthday. He appears to be about 40 or 50 years old. Alexandria could have been located in Smith County at that time.

HARROD, HEROD, ORANGE, MIRACK

HARROD, ORANGE, MIRACK Seeking information on JOHN H. HARROD (born ~ 1812 in ALA.). He married CATHARINE G. ORANGE ~ 1837, and they lived in Dekalb Co,TN and Smith Co, TN prior to moving to Butler Co, KY in the late-1840's. According to pension papers, JOHN H. HARROD was licensed as a Methodist Minister in 1842 and joined the Methodist Conference in 1843. This possibly took place in Dekalb Co, TN. Does anyone know of any Methodist Church Records from this area that date back to 1842? Is this the same John H. Harrod who married LOUISA MIRACK on 2 April 1834 in Gibson Co, TN? Any clues or suggested resources would be most appreciated. I would love to hear from all the HARROD, ORANGE, and/or MIRACK family researchers. Thanks.
