p. 21 April Term 1838
On motion of D. ABRAHAM TAYLOR is appointed guardian to JESSEE W. TAYLOR an orphan who came into court and qualified and entered into bond together with PETER CANTRELL and HENRY R. TAYLOR his securities approved by the court in sum of $1,000 dollars conditioned as the law directs.

Ordered by the court that CHARLES D. MARCUM be appointed overseer of the road from Pine Creek to Warren County line and have the following hands.....ABRAHAM TAYLOR (and a lot of CANTRELLS whose names I did not write down!)..

p. 47 April Term 1838
The summons issued at the May Term 1838(?) to summon JOSHUA TAYLOR to have LUCINDA OLDRIDGE an orphan child in his custody to have the said orphan in court whereupon the said TAYLOR produced said child accordingly, after the claims of all parties being examined the court decided that at the next court the matter should be decided..

On motion it was ordered by the court that EZEKIEL W. TAYLOR be appointed guardian to LEVINA TAYLOR, JOHN TAYLOR, JOAB TAYLOR, and NANCY TAYLOR minor heirs of BOZZEL TAYLOR deceased. Whereupon the said EZEKIEL W. TAYLOR entered into bond with P. A. THOMERSON and JONATHON FUSON, his securities....sum of $200.00.....

On motion it is ordered that WILSON TAYLOR be appointed guardian to SARAH TAYLOR minor heir of HENRY H. TAYLOR deceased who being of lawful age chose the said WILSON TAYLOR as guardian....

Ordered by the court that WILLIAM TAYLOR, DAVID TAYLOR, JONATHAN FUSON, EZEKIEL W TAYLOR, SHADRICK TRAMEL be appointed a jury of view and mark a road from the Smith County line near B. ALLEN running to Indian Creek EZEKIEL TAYLOR by the Big Spring on the Leading Ridge to the Stage Road near Bradford.

Ordered that BENJAMIN CLARK be appointed overseer of the road from the Smith County line to Holmes Creek Meeting House and have the following hands...DAVID TAYLOR, GODFREY TAYLOR, DEMPSEY TAYLOR, LEONARD TAYLOR, BENJAMIN TAYLOR work the same..

Was ordered by the Court that WILSON TAYLOR be appointed guardian to LUCINDA TAYLOR and JACOB TAYLOR minor heirs of HENRY H. TAYLOR deceased whereupon the said WILSON TAYLOR entered unto bond with E. W. TAYLOR and DAVID TAYLOR, his securities....$200.

Ordered by the Court that FRANK PARKERSON an orphan of the age of 10 years be bound as an apprentice to WILLIAM DRURY bond together with E. W. TAYLOR and WILSON TAYLOR his securities.

Then came JOHN HAYS and ISAAC HAYS executors named in the last will of ISAAC HAYS deceased and was duly qualified as executors and entered into bond together with HENRY R. TAYLOR and ALEXANDER ALLEN their securities....sum $1,000....

Then came WILSON TAYLOR in open court and purpose to have CRAWFORD BRADY an orphan of the age of 14 bound to him as an apprentice...said WILSON TAYLOR entered into bond together with E. W. TAYLOR his security.

TAYLOR, JOHN TAYLOR, WILLIAM W. TAYLOR, HENRY TAYLOR, PHIS TAYLOR, GEORGE TAYLOR, JEREMIAH TAYLOR, be appointed and allotted as hands to cut out said road.

POLLY ANN TAYLOR orphan of the age of 11 years and HENRY TAYLOR orphan of the age of 7 years bound by the chairman in behalf of the court to WILLIAM HAYES.

WILLIAM C. TAYLOR an orphan of the age of 9 years and RICHARD TAYLOR of the age of 11 years was bound to TIMOTHY HANEY whereupon the said TIMOTHY HANEY...entered into bond with SAMUEL ALLEN and DANIEL COGGIN.

The settlement of EZEKIEL W. TAYLOR guardian to the heirs of BOZEL TAYLOR was submitted to court for confirmation by the court.

WILLIAM CHILDRESS deceased last will and testament. ISAAC TAYLOR one of the executors.

Then came DANNEL J. CANTRELL, DANNEL FORD, BENJAMIN CURTIS, JACOB ADCOCK, ISAAC BURTON, ALEX JEDWIN, WILLIS D JENKINS, EZEKIEL W. TAYLOR and ZACHARIAS HENDRICKSON and presented certificate of their election to the office of the term of two years from this date.

p 179 March Term 1840
EZEKIEL W. TAYLOR elected in District No. 10 came into court and duly qualified as constable by taking the several oaths presented by law and entered into bond with HENRY FRAZIER, SEDARICK TRAMEL, JOLL FRAZIER his securities...in the amount of $4,000.

PHARIS SELF elected in District No 16 came into open court and was qualified as constable by taking several oaths...bond together with ABNER SELF, ISAAC TAYLOR, JOSHUA TAYLOR and THOMAS LAWRENCE... in the amount of $4,000.

Ordered by court that BRADY SELF be appointed overseer of the road from E. W. TAYLORS to THOMAS BRADFORDS and have the following hands..HENRY TAYLOR, PHARIS TAYLOR, GEORGE TAYLOR...

p 223 ___Term 1840
Ordered by the court that JONATHAN FUSON, JOHN HARP(HARPER?), C. W. KIRBY, BENJAMIN CLARK, and DRURY TAYLOR be appointed a jury to view and mark out a road from (of?) chance a part of the road running from the Smith County line to Smithville commencing at the foot of the hill near JONATHAN FUSON to intersect the same at the school house in the gap of the ridge beween Indian Creek and Holmes Creek and report accordingly.

p 253 March Term 1841
The following settlement was submitted to court this date to wit: MARTHA ALLEN, Administratrix of MICHAEL ALLEN dec'd; WILLIAM DREWY, adm. of MARG. DREWY, dec'd; SAMUEL WILLIAM guardian of MARY WILLIAM, WILSON TAYLOR, guardian of LUCINDY and JACOB TAYLOR, HENRY HORT guardian to the heirs of JOHN R KELLEY deceased, EZEKIEL W. TAYLOR, guardian to the heirs of BOZLE TAYLOR, dec'd; ABRAHAM TAYLOR guardian to SARAH TAYLOR and ABRAHAM TAYLOR; all of the above settlments were duly confirmed by the court and ordered to be recorded.

Ordered by the court that the Sheriff bring before our next court JAMES TAYLOR and BARTNER TAYLOR the children of MARTHA TAYLOR so that they can be bounded as the law directs.

p 270 Sept Term 1841
SUSANNAH HAYS presented her claim to the administration of JOHN HAYS deceased Bond with H. R. TAYLOR and C. W. KIRBEY her securities...in the amount of $500.

Ordered by court that N. B. TAYLOR be appointed overseer of the road from Holmes Creek to the Smith county line.

18 June 1839 RANDOL PAFFORD to THOMAS PAFFORD, 80 acres bearing this date proven by LEWIS LAWRENCE and THOMAS LAWRENCE.

Sept 1839 WILLIAM PATTERSON appointed administrator of estate of MICAJAH RACKLEY, deceased JOEL FOSTER and ABRAHAM ISBELL, securities.

Jan 1840 Last will and testament of WILLIAM LAWRENCE. PHARIS and LEWIS LAWRENCE executors. Bond with GILES DRIVER and ABNER SELF Proven by oaths of JOSEPH DAVIS and SAMUEL VENNIES.

Jan 1840. WILLIAM CHILDRESS, deceased. WILLIAM ROBINSON, subscribing witnesses, WILLIAM DAVIS signed will. ISAAC TAYLOR one of the executors. JAMES DAVIS other executor. Securities ALEXANDER MARTIN and HENRY BURTON.

July Term 1840. Ordered by court that LAMUEL WALKER be appointed overseer of the road from THOMAS FISHER to the Turkey Branch in the place of WILLIAM J. C. CANTRELL, and have the following hands: MEDLIN DURHAM, CLEVELAND CANTRELL, BRUSSELL HODGE, WILLIAM ALLEN, JESSE RANKHORN, JAVIEL ADCOCK, WILLIAM TACKWELL, THOMAS ADCOCK, JOHN TRAMEL, JAMEY WALKER, GEORGE WALKER, JOHN CANTRELL, HENRY TAYLOR and P. TAYLOR.

Jan Term 1841. It was ordered by the corut that DAVID M. JOHNSON be appointed guardian to SUBLIMA FRANKLIN LEE, MARION HANNY(?) LEE and MARY GREYANN LEE when the said DAVID M JOHNSON entered into bond with E. W. TAYLOR and R. H. JOHNSON, his securities in the amount of $150.

Jan Term 1841. WILLIAM H. JUDKINS, executor of WILLIAM KIRBY, deceased returned into court an inventory of account of sales.

July 1841. Ordered that HENRY FRAZIER be approved guardian of GUILFORD ETHERIDGE. Entered into bond with E. W. TAYLOR and P. A. THOMASON, his securities.

July 1841. Ordered by the sheriff that the following persons be summoned by Sheriff as jurors Dec Term Court.
