On motion of POLLY BRITTON, she is appointed admx to the estate of ABRAHAM BRITTON, dec'd, who together with JEREMIAH TAYLOR and FREDERICK UHLS her securities entered into bond in the sum of 2,000 dollars qualified to law. Letters of administration is granted hereupon said Decendents' estate who returned into court an inventory of said estate which is ordered to be recorded.

On motion, THOMAS R. SHORT was appointed Constable in CAPTAIN FORD's Company and together with JEREMIAH TAYLOR and FREDERICK UHLS his securities entered into bond in the sum of 1,000 and qualified according to law.

JOHN STUMP vs. WILLIAM TAYLOR. Certo. This day came Deft by his Attorney and the Pltf not appearing tho solemnly called on motion of Deft by his attorney, it is therefore considered by the Court that the Pltf be nonsuited and pay to the Deft his Cost by him about his Defence in this behalf expended and the Pltf mercy & c.

On motion SOLOMON DEBOW and JEREMIAH TAYLOR was appointed administrators to the estate of SAMUEL CARUTHERS, dec'd and together with WILLIAM WALTON, DAVID LOONEY, THOMAS R SHORT, and JOHN BAKER, the securities entered into bond in the sum of 20,000, conditions as the law directs and qualified according to law and letters of Adm is granted them upon said decendent's estate.

On motion, WILLIAM LORANCE was appointed Constable in CAPTAIN FORD's Company who qualified according to law and together with JEREMIAH TAYLOR and THOMAS R SHORT his securities entered into bond in the sum of 100 dollars conditioned as the law directs.

State vs. JOURDAN G STOKES Indictment.
The Deft. together with JAMES TUBBS his security here in open court acknowledged themselves severally indebted to the State of TN, that is to say, the said Deft in the sum of 200 dollars in his said security in the sum of 100 dollars to be levied of their goods and cahttles lands an tenements and rendered yet with this condition that if the said Deft makes his personal appearance before the Justices of our said Court at the Courthouse in Carthage on a Bill of Indictment for an assault and battery committed on the body of WILLIAM TAYLOR and shall not depart thereof without leave of our said Court or whall not otherwise be discharged by due course of law then this recognizance to be void elce(sic) remain in full force and effect.

WILLIAM TAYLOR prosecutor and witness, ABRAHAM TUBB, MILTON FORD, PINKITHMAN BOOKER, WILLIAM VICK, JACOB NULL, JAMES PAYNE, and WILLIAM AXUM witnessed here in open court severally acknowledged themselves indebted to the state of TN to wit....WILLIAM TAYLOR in the sum of 200 dollars..with the condition that if the above bound make their personal appearance before the justices of our said Court at the Courthouse in Carthage in the 2nd Monday in Nov next to prosecute and give evidence in behalf of the State against the deft and shall not depart without leave of our said court then this recognizance to be void and elce(sic) remain in full force and effect.

DAVID WOOD vs JOHN H MARTIN Covenant.
JEREMIAH TAYLOR who stood bound for the said Deft's appearance herein open court surrendered his body in open court in discharge of himself and said deft being in custody was by the court discharged from custody of the Sheriff, it appearing that he was enlisted in the United State Service. {*I don't know if that means Jeremiah or the Deft.]

On motion, WILLIAM LAWRENCE was allowed Letters of Administration in the estate of LEVI LAWRENCE, dec'd who qualified and entered into bond in the sum of 100 with JEREMIAH TAYLOR and THOMAS R SHORT, his securities and returned and inventory of the property of said decedent.

On motion it is ordered by the Court that JEREMIAH TAYLOR, THOMAS R SHORT, and ANDREW G. FORD be commissioners to set apart one year's allowance for the widow of said LEVI LAWRENCE out of said estate and report thereof and c.

Ordered that BENJAMIN TAYLOR, JOHN JOHNSON and LITTLEBERRY HUGHES be appointed to settle with JAMES WILLIAMS, administrator to the estate of EDMUND WILLIAMS, dec'd and report to next court.

The State vs JOHN TAYLOR Indictment
This day came the council for the State as well as the Deft. by his Attorney and also a jury of lawful men...who being elected sworn, do say that the Deft is not guilty in manner and form as charged in the bil of Indictment as in pleading he had alledged on Motion a Rule is admitted to shew cause why the prosecutor in this cause should not pay the cost.

State Vs. JOHN TAYLOR. This day came the parties by their attorneys and Deft's motion to shew cause why the prosecutor should pay the cost being argued it is considered by the Court that the said prosecutor JOHN HALL pay the cost which have accrued on this indictment and may be taken & c.
