NOTE:Hosea James Winchester was son of Andrew "Archie" and Theresa "Thursey"(Presley) Winchester.He was born in Sailsbury Dist(Mecklenburg Co )NC and came to Smith Co TN about 1829 with his parents. He m. Lucy Katherine COGGIN and raised thier family in Smith and DeKalb Cos TN.
Andrew and Theresa had: Hosea James(1828-1899),Leah HOLLEY(1830-),Louisa "Eliza" DUNHAM(1836-),Wm Valentine(1840TN)Joseph A. (1842-)Paulina "Lina" PULLUM(1844-)Rufus P. (1846-)and John Potter (1849-1903).
