Ian. I am NEW at this trying to find for my wife. I have been able to get around on the Dyer Co. Site but can’t seem to figure this one out! If you can give me the how to find info by typing in peoples names I would be tickled pink! I am trying to find the parents of Martin Sullivan born 1875 and was married to a Margette that was born in 1876 thank so much newbie Paul

  2. Paul,
The best way to do this today is click on the first letter of the surname you are searching and then look for the surname. We don’t have much on Sullivan so we may not be able to assist. In the future, we plan to have a search engine for the site which will provide an easier way to search all of the material that we have.
    All the best,
    Jerry

  3. I am looking for information about the wife of Martin Paul Fisher b abt 1792 d abt 1848. He was the son of Paul Fisher & Mary Polly Phillips Fisher. Family records say that her name was Rachel, but we have no official records (marriage or court) that show her name. Can you give me some ideas about where to look for this information?

  4. I’m wanting to know if there’s anyone who would know if there’s a Hays Family reunion planned anytime? Theres 2 sets of Hays..Im descendant of John ‘Jack’ Hays and Rebecca Rains. Last reunion I attended was in the 1990s close to between Perryville and Decaturville.

  6. I am looking for information on a fire that killed 2 people in December of 1995. James H Martin was one of the deceased. I am his surviving sister and I believe they ruled it a murder with the fire to cover the murder. It was near the Saltillo Boat Ramp, not sure if it was considered Clifton or another town. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have been searching all kinds of newspapers and death records, to no avail.

  7. Hi, I’m looking for any connection available to me. I am the granddaughter of William Sykes, who died and was buried at the family plot in Decatur. My mother Anna and her mother, William Sykes’ wife Anne all passed away early from Huntington’s disease. Looking for any living family connections. As there is no one alive to ask, thought I’d give this a shot.

    1. I will look to see if they may be buried in the Old Baptist church between Brooksie Thompson and Hwy 641. I believe I have seen the Sykes name.

    2. Hi Jessica, I am your mother’s first cousin. Your grandmother, Ann and my dad, Thomas Rainey McConnico were brother and sister.

  8. Looking for a photo of James Robert “Him” Wyatt.

He was married to Manerva “Nervie” Ann Gathings Wyatt. His son was Walter Washington Wyatt (First wife, Hattie Meggs; second wife Nora Knight).

Jim and Nervie raised Walter’s daughter, Lou Willie Wyatt.
