Records & Data – March 12, 2012

Check out our new Records & Data page with links to records and data of interest to Decatur County researchers.  The Yesterday’s page will continue to be the best place to browse our Decatur County Historical Information.

Or course, the search engine remains the best place to search all pages in the Decatur Co. TNGenWeb.

Open for Business – March 9, 2012

Thank you for your patience while we have transitioned to our new web site.  The content from has been merged into the yesterday’s and families sections that are accessible from the main menu bar.  Please browse these sections to see what is available.  We still have some broken links in the families section that I will be addressing as I have time.

We have added a new Google Search Engine that allows you to search the content in this site. This is still the best way to find a specific topic that interests you.  There are so many pages, it is difficult to find everything by browsing. Try the search engine and see what surprises you can find!

We are now officially open for business as the new Decatur Co. TNGenWeb.  The success of this site depends on contributions from you.  Please consider sharing your genealogical or historical research related to Decatur County.  Please contact me if you have material to contribute.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to the new Decatur Co. TNGenWeb site! This site has been dormant for quite some time. We are working to revitalize the web site with a new look and some new and some old content. The old content will come from and will be integrated over a period of time. The new content will, hopefully, come from you to build on the base of information that is available to current and future researchers.

I look forward to working with you to advance historical and genealogical research related to Decatur Co. TN.
