Resided in Long Creek community. Enlisted Sep 1862, Pvt, Co. H, 60th
NC Infantry Reg’t. CSA. Killed near Chattanooga, Tenn in 1863. Buried in mass grave at
Confederate Memorial Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tenn.
