According to Marshal’s History of Obion County, Captain George King organized this company of about 40 men in early 1864 in the vicinity of Kenton, Tennessee, for the purpose of maintaining order and preventing lawlessness in the area. It was reported to have acted under the orders of Major General Nathan B. Forrest. No muster roll nor other record of the company was found.
