Surrendered May 10,1865 at Jonesboro,Tenn. “Subscribed to the Oath” at Jonesboro on May 21,1865 and ” allowed to return home.”
Personal Information about the Veteran (Not contained in the CMSR): Born abt 1838. Son of Nathan and Rhoda Copass. Married Elizabeth Cox on Dec.12,1865. They appear in census records of Washington County Tennessee 1870-1900. Younger brother of my maternal g,g,grandmother,Cynthia Copass Cox.
