Personal Information about the Veteran (Not contained in the CMSR):Born abt 1836. Son of Nathan and Rhoda Fitzgerald Copass. Full name was JOHN MARTIN VAN BUREN COPASS. Married Sarah Waller ( or Walker?)in Washington County Tenn.on Dec.8,1860. A son,Josiah E. was born abt 1862. John was a younger brother of my maternal g,g,grandmother, Cynthia Copass Cox.
