PATTERSON
Wondering if anyone has access to wills in Cannon Co. My great-grandfather, Robert Wilson Patterson, was living in Cannon County in the 1850 census. He will killed (apparently while cutting timber) in September 1867. I assume they were still living in Cannon County at his death. I would like to know if he left a will or if there was a guardian appointed for his infant children. His wife was Louisa and they had 8 children, the youngest only two when he died. Seeking info on the ESPY Cemetery. I have had two unsuccessful attemptes to locate while in the area and would greatly appreciate any assistance. The local cemetery map from the library shows this just off Hollow Springs Rd. I believe that it might be on private property now. Based on family stories from 1978 timeframe, the family was escorted to a home and then taken back through a field to the cemetery. I would be very interested in finding out about this cemetary and what stones if any remain. All leads appreciated. Willing to send snail mail to current owner if they can be located.
