     Know all men by these presents that Joel Meador, Peter McCulley and James Campbell are Jointly and severally held and firmly bound unto Willie Blount Governor ect. and his successors in Office in the penal sum of five thousand dollars to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and Dated this 6th day of December Anno Domini 1814.

      The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Joel Meador hath this day been duly Elected Coroner for the County of Campbell for the Two succeeding Years; Now if the said Joel Meador does well and Truly do and perform all matters and things belonging to or in any wise appertaining to the duties of Coroner so long as he Shall Continue therein Strict Conformity to the Laws of the State. Now if force and use then the Above Obligation to be void Otherwise to remain in full force and Virtue.
