This indenture this day made and entered into between Robert Ivey of the one part deed. Joel Chapman of the other part both of Campbell Co. Tennessee witnesseth that for and in consideration of one hundred and five dollars $105 secured by note bearing interest from date said Robert Ivey hath this day bargained and sold and by the presents doth convey to said Joel Chapman a certain tract of land in the 5th Divil District of Campbell Co. Tennessee adjoining the lands of Robert Ivey, Wm. Riggs, Nancy Ivey and Harvey Chapman Beginning on a black gum thence Southwardly a strait line to a black gum on Wm. Riggs line thence Easterwardley witn Wm. Riggs line of the Shoelbread line to a hickory corner then North with the Sheol bread-with branch in the hollow thence up the brach to a stone Nancy Ivey's corner hence around Nancy Ivey's patch over corner a maple thence with Harvey Chapman line Westwardly to the beginning of a black gum near the top of the ridge to have and to hold with all it's appertenances forever the title to which said ? Robert Ivey will forever warrant and defend against the lawful legal claims of all persons in law ? Equity. In testimony where of I have herunto set my hand under seal this the 15th day of December 1877.

State of Tennessee Personally appeared before me Campbell County P. Housley a Notary Public of aforesaid John A Ivey and Harvey Chapman with whom I am personally acquainted the subscribing witnesses ? within deed who being first part sworn deposed and said that they were acquainted with Robert Ivey and Margaret Ivey the bargainers and that they acknowleged the same in there presence to be there act and deed upon the date it bears date
