     This indenture made this twenty third day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between Robert Houston of the county of Knox of the state of Tennessee of the one part and Thomas Chapman of the same place of this part Witnep (Witness) that the said Robert Houston for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars to him in hand said the reiciept (receipt) whereof is here by acknowlidge (acknowledge) with and by these presents doth (doeth) grant bargain to alais (?) enproff (?) and confirm to the said Thomas Chapman his heirs and apisns (?) forever a -----(?) had as(?) parcel of land situate in the County of Campbell and state aforesaid included within the following bounds being within a bend on Powel's (Powell's) River known and distinquished by the name of Brown's Bend and part of the lower half of lot 1, within the Henderson H, CO Powels (Powell) valley survey and is part of the same, conveyed on the eleventh day of - - - - (?) eighteen hundred and one by Robert Burton and Archibald Henderson surviving executors of the last will and Testament of Richard Henderson Rec'd (?) to the said Robert Houston bu(?)tted(?) and bounded as follows beginning on the bank of - - - - - (?) River on James Crowleys line opposite a place -- - - - - - (?) the turnpike thence up the several meaudors (meadows) of the Powel's River to the division line run through said lot thense with the division line to said river to the said James Crowleys line

Then with his -----(?) the said Crowleys line to the beginning containing two hundred acres by the same more as less with all and singular the woods, waters water courses, profits commodities, hireditamants (?) and appustinances (?) and the riversion (?) and riversions(?), remainder and remainders vernts (?) and ipar (?) thereof, and all the state title into property claim and demand of him the said Robert Houston his heirs and apigns (?) forever, in and to the same and every part or -- - - - - -(?) thereof either in law or equitym to have and to hold the said two hundred acres of land be the same more or less with the appurtinaners(?) unto said Thomas Chapman his heirs and apigns(?) forever against the lawful title claim and demand of all and every person or persons whatever will warrant and forever defend, in witnep (witness)where of the said Robert Houston hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first aforewritten
