Queener Cemetery
Queener Cemetery on Parrott Road, Campbell County Tennessee near Lake City which is south of Caryville. This cemetery is also know as Cherry Bottom Cemetery. Directions...................From Lake City drive south on the main road. Turn right on Cherry Bottom Road. Continue drive up the hill. Turn right on Parrott Road. Cemetery is on the right side of the road behind the house near bottom of the hill. This cemetery was transcribed from a video taken on Friday, July 7, 2000. It was difficult to keep the rows straight as it is with all old cemeteries. The oldest part of the cemetery appears to be to the south as it is marked with many fieldstones. A rough map appears at the end of this page. The cemetery is still in use today. The cemetery was last read on March 22, 1986 by Dorothy Bruce. Her work is in book form "Cemeteries of Campbell County, Tennessee." Copyright 1989. We did not find all of the headstones that Dorothy's book shows and sometimes we do not agree on the dates. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish numbers and letters due to weathering and or light conditions. If we do not agree on dates we will show both dates at the bottom of this page. It will be marked with a "*(date)*". There were a few stones I was unable to read. I will make corrections as I find errors or am told of them. I have some family members in this cemetery and would be willing to share info with anyone viewing this page. My family is marked with a "+" next to the name. I can be contacted at Steve Mathis 348 N. Galloway St., Xenia, Ohio 45385 937-372-0399. email.. stevemathis@netscape.net,
